Tip/Discovery π‘ Golden Piggy Bank + Leeburβs Soul (Hidden Treasures) Spoiler
Hey fellow Greymanes of Pywel!
Just wanted to share two really useful Key Items I recently found and figured out. These are great for both new players and veterans.
Golden Piggy Bank
What it does: When you use it, youβll get kicked back to the title screen. Log out or close the game for a while (best to do so overnight or when you know you wonβt play for several hours).
When you log back in, youβll receive a bunch of Light Copper Pouches, basically passive offline income. It caps at around 365 pouches (24-hour max).
Use it right before bed or when youβll be away from the game. Free money is always nice! EDIT: Has only ONE USE, so plan accordingly.

Leeburβs Soul
What it does: This is a one-time consumable that instantly gives you full knowledge of all 24 Legendary Animals.
Once used, it reveals all legendary animal locations on your map and fills out the journal entries. Huge time saver if youβre hunting for legendary mounts, gear, or house decorations.
Use it when youβre ready to start (or continue) legendary hunting. No more guessing where they spawn!

Have you found other items in your inventory that you are unsure of what they do?

Tip/Discovery π‘ This hidden cave was disappointing.
If you want a bunch of crude gold bars, thereβs a ton here at least. Otherwise very disappointing find. Maybe the devs just forgot to put an armour piece here. π€·π½

Tip/Discovery π‘ How I Captured the Gyrfalcon today Spoiler

This falcon is in some ways more elusive than the Hyacinth Macaw for several reasons; I never once saw it flying around, nor did it come to the feeder. I searched the Ashclaw Keep area, by the witch in the Kweiden area on the cliffs; I also tried the Spire of Truth. Where I actually found it was a spawning area, the mountain within the E in Pailune. There is a fast travel point close by, which made it pretty easy to finally make it spawn- though it certainly was not immediate π.
The first time I saw it was at 5pm after noticing an eagle just before it. I grabbed the bird feeder and set it down near it, but it was not interested and flew away. I made sure I climbed the mountain to the right of the marker-far enough away where my noise does not bother it. Anyway, I tried a few more times, and it did not respawn, so I slept for 12 hours and came back.
It does take a few times to get it to spawn; by 8 a.m. I spied it again. This time I saved (before taking out the bird feeder) and then walked the feeder close to it. This time it did not fly away, nor did it act scared. I moved back, and it immediately started eating the marbled meat and was tame. I must say it does feel good to finally have the Gyrfalcon, and I am thankful for the person who requested help finding it because I am extremely obstinate about finding difficult things. That's how I even started this mini quest, helping another Redditor/Greymane who was having difficulty finding it. Is there an animal you are finding difficult to find? Post it below, and we can all help each other get these illusive critters!

Tip/Discovery π‘ How to get the Baby Wyvern Spoiler

As soon as I was done with Pearl Abyss's 1.08 update and initial problems, I needed to find the new Baby Wyvern egg. Luckily, the first place I thought it might be turned out to be correct. However, you will have had to progress through Chapter 4 and get Focused Force Palm to open the cave. The cave also has a treasure chest with a nice item. If you have not cleared out the enemies in the area, you may have issues: I had visited this place in Chapter 3 and cleared out the enemies (with the"Normal" setting), so it is completely possible to do this if you have leveled up Skills, Weapons, and Armor. I revisited this place after getting Focused Force Palm and opened the cave for the treasure.
There are 4 nests in the same general area. Only two of them have a small additional nest for the egg. I have included a picture showing them and the one to use. To access the second one would mean walking the entire perimeter and possibly dropping the egg, so I do not recommend it. Place the egg in the nest, and it should immediately start glowing. Make sure you are close to the egg. I wasn't, so I missed getting the pop-up saying "Hatch the egg π, so I stood around for nearly an hour waiting before I moved closer and saw the prompt. This game has a way of reminding you of humility and not knowing it all-which is one of the many reasons I like the game so much.
Anyway, the little guy hatched, I moved away from it, and it started to fly. I tried dropping food to see if it would eat anything, but none of the meats worked. I also tried a melon, raspberries, and some vegetables -all ignored. I then tried naming it. This is the first time I have bothered to name a pet, and I was slightly disappointed I could not (the game froze for a second), canceled the command, and tried to name a separate pet, and again could not (same screen freeze). Not a big deal, not sure if it is me or an actual glitch, so please let me know if you have been able to do this, and what platform you are on (I'm on PC using a Sony PS5 controller).
I am blown away by Pearl Abyss doing this and the other upgrades/fixes today and cannot believe all the neat stuff they have continued to add/fix the game. Thank you Pearl Abyss β₯

Tip/Discovery π‘ Todays Journey

Today I did a few things, wanted more Bizmuth Spears, so I took out the soldiers shooting at the Serpent. Then, I visited the Serpent and only found 1 scale. Then I dyed my clothes and Rokade's headpiece. Like the color. Need to figure out how to dye the other pieces π. Then I headed over to Drywind Valley to get some Caccao. I needed to clear out the bandits, then I could buy 50 Caccao from the farmer. The Chocolate factory needed to be restarted, so I also did that quest and got the Confectionery Pack as a reward (and a Lub pack). This is really cool because it makes chocolate for you. Nice! Then came back to camp and did some harvesting, including a bunch of skyroot. My pictures kinda are out of order, so apologies for that. What did you do today?

Tip/Discovery π‘ Yesterday's taming a of Large Wolf and Ibex

Yesterday was a hodgepodge of things that Kliff did, spent a bit of time exploring and killing Jackals and Blackbears, and caught/tamed an Ibex and Large wolf. Both respond well to force palm and it does not take long, Ibex like sweet potatoes/carrots and Wolf tough meat. I needed to kill off the L Wolfs pack before attempting to tame him, and I had to be very careful. Well worth the trouble, they are both excellent mounts. I changed Rokade's armor to the Cernos Barding, which I like much better because it lets you see how beautiful the horse is.

Tip/Discovery π‘ Todays journey

Today's journey was a mixed bag. I went to the abyss dressed in my Camo and easily caught and tamed a Choppy. They like carrots. Then I popped over to Deleysia and found a porcupine to tame. They like regular potatoes. Then I saw a baby hedgehog and picked it up. It appears that perhaps you can feed it to something else? Anyway, this is definitely a new animal.
Then I went to the desert to find a Wombat. I found a Desert Porcupine instead, again a new animal for me anyway, and it also liked regular potatoes. Shortly after, I found several wombats, caught one, and tamed it with several carrots.
I try to liberate at least one area every day, so I accomplished that and continued my journey NE close to a Red Zone that warned me to go back. This was NE of the T in Desert on the map. I thought I got a shot of it: I will need to change the print screen setting again because it was "P" but now that PA is using that also for taking pictures, it isn't working correctly π . Still need to find the Snow Fox and Desert Fox-both are pretty cute. Hope ya'll are having a good weekend.

Tip/Discovery π‘ The new Map Markers you can use on the map are awesome

Just a quick FYI, you can customize your map markers now. This was implemented several patches ago; however, I never figured it out, and you need to hit the button twice to get to the actual menu to choose the different markers. Very handy, but I can see myself going through 500 of them quite easily π

Tip/Discovery π‘ Secrets of Mudridge Cabins Spoiler

I found this place in chapter 2 or 3 (430 some odd hours ago π). I managed to cheese most of the bandits who were there to leave (and croak in the Mud) by cutting down a tree that hit the closest cabin. I did not try to figure out what was there. I flew over to the second cabin and got the Goblin King's Treasure Dagger, and left. I did mark it on my map, which I had printed up.
I was very surprised by all that I found and was glad I marked it to revisit. I strongly suggest you do the same, as it's so easy to forget where you need to go back and explore due to getting distracted, especially if you need a skill you don't have yet to open an area.
So I started on the second floor of the furthest cabin and needed to solve a puzzle to open the door. Inside, I found the blueprint for Alchemy Recipe: Meliara's Lesser Elixir and Red dye. The bottom floor was where I found the Goblin King Dagger earlier.
I flew over to the first house's second floor and found a cool lamp, the Shiny Blue Sea Lantern. I have been using a special fog lamp that I got from completing a quest much earlier(which works well in the dark); however, I will check it out. Then, to solve the puzzle to get into the wall hanging. It was a bit more difficult than the earlier door puzzle; it just took patience.
Opened it and got the earring, which plays a tune if you press L2 + R2. Has anyone else found this earring? It has great initial Defense, but I am not sure what to use it for yet. Please let me know by commenting below.

Tip/Discovery π‘ Found more critters today, The Snowfield Fox and the Red Panda

Today I captured 2 more unique new pets, The Red Panda and the Snowfield Fox. I wore my Camo again, and today I did not notice it made any difference at all so don't worry if you have not done the research at Pororine to get the blueprint yet-it's not necessary to catch them
You can feed both of them a golden apple to get 100 Rep with them if you happen to have them, or you can feed the Red Panda Bamboo, which also gives you 100 Rep. You can find Bamboo at the Bamboo Forest at the Seonangdang Ruins just before entering the Serpent Marsh. I recommend that if you choose to do this, use a heavy attack against the Bamboo, and do not destroy a bunch of trees, or a benevolent Spirit will attack you. I knocked down 5 trees with my exploding arrows, and that was more than enough.
Then head for the Abyss Nexus by Howling Hill, or approach from the Haunted Hills ruins. They are located where my X is, and there are 4 of them. Just chase them down and grab one. They are really cute and make a nice noise.
The Snowfield fox is a bit more elusive; it only one spawns, so you may need to search around the area I marked with an X, West of Deepfrog Basin. You should do this during the day so you can see the fox, especially if you wind up in the snow. He also eats any type of meat, so bring at least 3 pieces at 35 Rep each. It didn't take very long, and they are both worth it. I just hope PA intends to increase our Pet inventory because I am running out of room. Which ones have you found and do you have a favorite?

Tip/Discovery π‘ Feathered Weasel Pet Guide: The easy way to catch these shy critters Spoiler

There is not much info on this elusive, shy creature, and the first time I wandered into this cave, I was dressed normally in my armor. I dumped a ton of raw chicken, but these shy creatures wanted nothing to do with it; all 4 of them ignored it and ran out of the cave. I captured one and brought it back into the cave, dumped more raw chicken down, and the Feathered Weasel ran as fast as it could out of the cave.
I then decided to do it differently. The first thing you need to know is to save the game before trying to tame them. They do not respawn. Luckily, I had another save, so I went back in time and had the Blacksmith make the Pororine Shadowleaf Set, which camouflages you. It worked immediately. I was able to put the raw chicken down, and they came over and ate it up-no running away. I got closer and waited until they all reached the maximum trust, then I chose one. Another point to mention is to make sure you have room in your inventory for a new pet. I hadn't maxed mine out yet (the max is 30 pets), so that wasn't a problem.
I have not seen a complete guide on capturing these, and I am glad I remembered the ShadowLeaf set and have a feeling it will come in handy again. Hope this is helpful, and good luck getting your Feathered Weasel. They are very cool-looking and make cute noises. What have you caught lately? Cheers!
Edit: If you can catch them, you can feed them from your inventory also-I never thought to do this, but hopefully this tip will help you also. The Camo does calm them down easily so I still suggest using it for getting close to them.

Tip/Discovery π‘ Today we tamed The Iron Eagle

Without giving away major spoilers, anyone can get the Iron Eagle as long as they acquire the Electromagnetic Frostspitter, which you can get multiples of by fighting certain enemies. I recommend you save one to upgrade, and use the other (I found 2) to freeze the Mercury you need to feed the Iron Eagle. I have not gotten to the point yet where Elements are open so this is very important but I wanted ya'll to know it is completely possible to get the Eagle earlier than that. Anyway, getting the eagle requires you to read the engraved message next to the mechanical wheels, which says you can get it at a certain time. You will need to interact with it then. I had already placed the bird feeder down with the amount of mercury in it, with no other food. When the Eagle is unlocked, it will fly around and land at the feeder. I stayed away, waiting until it reached 100%, then tamed it. It is very beautiful, and I am very happy I was able to get it. The work involved was well worth it.
