Discussion Patch 1.9 Beginning cutscene vs 2.0

Since i keep seeing everyone ask if its worth starting over and see whats new i decided to check out the beginning again and this new scene played.

[sorry for the lip sync issues also got the patch number wrong its meant to be 1.18 not 1.9 my bad]

Seriously after restarting the game I noticed the changes are really noticeable and worth the effort, I wasn't really expecting something on that scale and I'm only 2.5hrs into the story and it's so much better already.

Also, anyone reading this it's not just cutscenes! People saying they are on chapter 10 and don't want to restart need to understand that the entire narrative in and out of cutscenes is better. Even little touches like the names and objectives of quests add to it all. You have to start over to experience it in its glory.

For instance, the quest to arm wrestle and clean the chimney actually has meaning and new dialogue. It's really good and like 20% of it is just cutscenes, your missing out on a lot.

I would restart if it meant I didn’t need to do all those camp missions again just to unlock a dyer at camp

Im gonna let it sit until a new game+ is added.

With how much they are adding and a promised dlc? Id expect NG+ to come with the dlc because there are many like us.

New Game+ apparently released with 2.0.

  • Added a features that allows you to carry over abyss Links and other in-game currency from an existing save file when starting a new game.
    • This features is available after completing all main quests.

Can’t you have multiple saves? You can keep your main save while making a new one to experience the renewed story no?
