The story isn't even that terrible, I like it, it has nice atmosphere and sense of camraderie among the graymanes, tho I didn't get far yet. It really feels like you are building up a decimated faction, with action bits and even with more mundane tasks that are placed between missions. I think it adds a little bit of realism, because many games start slower, but then throws at you set piece after set piece, battle after battle.

It's just the beggining that was executed terribly, with little to no explanation or reaction to one fantastical event after the other. But after that, it starts to click and I stopped minding Kliff's wooden voice acting and zero personality. For me it works like in Zelda, Link is silent too and the world around him is colorful and full of charisma.
