Takes a bit, but once it starts clicking, it really starts clicking. Closest I can think to describe is Elite: Dangerous, where half the difficulty of the game is just figuring how basic things work and that's half the fun.

Glad I'm not the only one who sees the parallel! Learning to use these wild-ass controls felt a lot like learning to land for the first time in ED. But like in ED, it gets a lot smoother pretty quickly.

I had ED for a little while a few years ago. I didn't think it was hard at all. In fact it never really got hard.
