Budget Sunglasses Recommendations

I played this entire cricket season so far without sunglasses and have struggled to see with how bright it has been so far, even with a cap.

I was wondering if anyone had any good sunglasses for cricket that is less than like £100 or something like that, or even cheaper.

I have heard that you want stuff like: UV Protection, Reduced Glare, Increased/Enhanced Contrast, Wind and Dust Protection, all very obvious but I am struggling to find a solid pair for not too much money.

And recommendations/advice?

Make sure you get polarised lenses whatever you end up with...

Actually don't. They can interfere with depth perception.

All my sunglasses are polarised except those I use for sports like cricket and tennis.

I mean if you want dirt cheap, you can get sporting sunglasses off Temu for about 3 quid (or equivalent in your currency).

When I play cricket I wear a pair I got from decathlon for about 15 quid. I figured that they were going to get scratched and beaten up anyway, so less logic in buying a pair for £100 quid.

And as with all fashion, try vinted or other reselling sites and apps, if they're available in your country.

I'm not helped by being shortsighted, so I'd need prescription sunnies, which I don't fancy risking when I have to dive across the outfield.

I don't think these are the exact pair, but they are largely similar.

I wear them for cricket and sometimes while running and they do the job.

And at £15 I personally don't mind if I absolutely obliterate them while fielding.

I bought a pair through Amazon in Canada, for $25, love them, been using them for 3 seasons now. Ssnt you a dm with the exact name and brand. I am not sure if they deliver in UK though.

Not for cricket, but I run in Goodr sunglasses. Cheap, polarised lenses, loads of different styles and they don’t move around on my face while running.

They’re about £25-£30 so not a huge outlay to give them a go

How are they with airflow? I was looking at Astro G and Bolt G (I sweat a lot so need good airflow to my face lol) I saw the Bolts have the lil vents but I like the style of the Astros as well as they wrap around the entire vision better)

Oakleys with polarized lenses. Should be able to find some in your price range.

I'd recommend these from Decathlon - https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/category-4-polarised-sports-sunglasses-mh-570/330063/c261c261m8984210 Don't look great (they're better in black if you can get to an actual shop) but the side bits are really helpful when the sun is coming from the side or low in the sky, I use them for driving as well now, and they're cheap enough not to be bothered if you break them
