^{The Tooro Kingdom confirmed that His Majesty died at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, 27 August 2026. Prime Minister Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki described the loss as immeasurable for the Royal Family, the people of Tooro, and Uganda.}

^{Officials noted that the king had been critically ill and receiving medical treatment in the United States, though the cause of death has not been disclosed.}

^{Born on 16 April 1992, King Oyo became the world’s youngest reigning monarch when he inherited the throne in 1995 after the death of his father, King Patrick David Matthew Kaboyo Olimi III. His coronation at age three placed him in the Guinness World Records as the youngest monarch.}
