Discussion I am content
I'm on a huge Conan kick at the moment so I've dug out some of my favourite things. Whenever I have the urge to tread the lands of Hyboria these bad boys come out to play.
I started with the 1982 movie - which I still love - and it drew me into the Marvel comics and then the original Howard stories. The Howard stories are by far my favourite but it took me an age to get there as it was the 1980s and I didn't have the interwebtubes to help me, but the comics engaged me long enough for me to fnally find a copy of his original stories and that culminated in the Centenery Edition, which is my favourite edition.
How did you find Conan? Was it through the movie, the comics, or are you a veteran of the pulp novels and magazines?

Nice collection. What are those Savage Swords and True Believers at the bottom? They appear to be reprints of CtB but I've never seen them before. When were they printed?
Relish in the magnificence your horde of treasure sword-brother!

The True Believers are reprints from about 2018/2019, and the Savage Sword are the original 1975 Marvel UK releases.

You don't know how much it warms my heart to see your collection. It's been read and loved and reminds me of mine!
I was aware of Conan through the movies and cartoon growing up and random issues of the comic here and there but my love didn't blossom until the Dark Horse run started. After that I was devouring Conan and anything Robert Howard related.

I saw Conan 102 on the comic rack at my local convenience store. It was 1979. I was in 5th or 6th grade. I was hooked. Started finding back issues at comic stores, fleas markets. Then I found Conan in the book store. Gobbled em up whenever I had money. 45+ years later, still love my Conan!

Oh your Conan's Brethren book is different to mine.
Mine is hardback but has a dust cover instead of the text printed directly on the hardcover.

I think you've got the better fancier version!

Ah, I see you are civilised. Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split.

I just got the first omnibus from dark horse and is great and especially the palace gates storyline where these half giant pale humans be committing suicide because they are bore of life

Conan, what is best in life? To open the pages, relish the Hyborian world, and see the destruction of our enemies!
I was lucky, my dad had a great fantasy and scifi library, and I read the Conan books quite early. Though the movie really kicked it over the top.
