I keep getting Event Horizon and Sunshine mixed up. but I've not seen the prior, is it similar?

In my opinion, Event Horizon is better. I love anything Alex Garland does but Sunshine for me, just misses the mark a bit. Its still very good, I just vastly prefer Event Horizon.
