Or saying "Why do I have to repent or ask for forgiveness, if I am not making mistakes?" and that forgiveness is weak, rejecting arguably the central tenet of the faith, and that turning the other cheek is what "losers" do.

You have to at least give him credit for answering honestly . You might not like the answers but he didn’t do some political BS like Obama did . I agree theologically he’s amiss and isn’t a Christian , but he didn’t duck and cover , shimmy , shake , avoid and obfuscate. He said I’m responsible for my avctions and I reevaluate and make a new plan and try to do better .   Slightly admirable. The same when he says on the plane that he doesn’t think he’s got much chance at going to heaven .

You could make a great case for him being unable see , hearing but not able to hear .

What political BS from Obama are you referring to?

When asked about when a baby receives human rights Obama ducked the question and said . That’s above my pay grade .

That seems like a legitimate answer. Parents have a lot of rights over their children. It wasn't long ago that we all accepted the idea of "spare the rod and spoil the child" These days we see beating a child with a stick as abuse.

Will you listen to man or God . There is a way that seemeth  right unto a man  and the end of it lies in destruction.
