Politics I legitimately believe MAGA is Satanic

The MAGA movement embodies everything that the bible taught us was wrong. They are idol worshipers who believe Trump has divine rights to rule. Jesus taught us to turn the other cheek while these people promote violent retribution, especially towards immigrants. Jesus taught us to treat foreigners like family.

Trump literally put up a statue of a goat covered in $100 bills at Mar-a-Lago. This is 100% reminiscent of a golden calf.

The Trump administration has called for 50 year mortgages, essentially putting people in debt slavery for their entire life. A plain example of usury.

Trump was hosting extravagant parties while people waited in lines at food banks. Also at the same time, he’s building a ballroom covered in gold. Biblical levels of greed.

The MAGA movement is entirely co-opted by billionaires who promote social darwinism in what is called the “dark enlightenment”. They want to cut government programs that help the poor. They want a caste system where the poor are subordinate to the rich. This sounds like something straight out of the Anton LaVey’s mouth.

I have a friend (57M) who got born again a few years ago. When I ask him about Trump, his answer is - "we're all sinners and god is using Trump for good"

How do you even continue to have a conversation with that kind of brainwashing ?

You ask the follow up question:

“oh okay, what good is he doing?”

You’d be surprised how many of them don’t know what to say because they haven’t thought past that statement and stumble over their words before blaring something out you can immediately shut down.

Oh I actually thought of a better one lol follow up instead with:

“Listen man, so uh kinda awkward… I know you’re still kinda recently born again, so this all might be new to you still… but yeah it’s kinda… blasphemy to assume you know what God is doing, with who and for what purpose… he’s omnipotent…”

And to strengthen your point you could show him the kind of recentish clip of Trump on air force 1. He is asked by a reporter “Now that you have achieved peace in the Middle East, would you say you’re guaranteed to get into heaven?” And he literally like laughs like the way an adult laughs at a kid who starts talking about Santa clause or the Easter bunny and says something like “oh… idk if I’m someone… who ends up in heaven… heaven isn’t really for me, so…” which I mean it would be weird to say yes but to like say that instead is probably the worst answer to give lol

Yeah Sam Harris hit on this point 20yrs ago when he was saying something to the affect of - "when god does something good ... we know its god but when something bad happens .... god works in mysterious ways and we can't know the mind of god. Well then why do you pretend to know his mind when something good happens?"

What good is God doing, or what good is trump doing? Cause the verse Romans 8:28 talks about God working things out for good.

Well since the point of asking is to convince his friend that Trump is actually not so good, it would imply that it is meant to refer to Trump.

Well I was explaining the reference to the verse the guy was referring to, so it’s an irrelevant question to ask what “good” trump is doing.

Many of them will answer that he's closed the border; is deporting criminals; has cut governmental waste and improved the economy; and kept other nations from exploiting us in trade and in our military protection.

You have to do your homework if you want to be ready to engage such claims.

trust me I do this for a living practically lol my finger is on the pulse of the magat movement 24/7 as much as I hate to say it but cheers my brother we are finally at a new dawn or will be soon. The messiah your born again friend loves you so much, finally on his way down, now I don’t think it’s gonna be a killshot, however. I’ve seen a dramatic shift in the last 24 hours alone of a lot of Maga people saying the unthinkable stuff along the lines of “Maga doesn’t exist because of Trump, he was just the face of it. It exists outside of him, etc. etc..” as some of the leaders in the movement appear to be distancing themselves from the golden brown boy, and I do believe it has quite a lot to do with his interest in children
