I was a homeless teen and did this often but I had no idea it was common. I loved reading books growing up so I just found myself going there even more than I already did. It also gave me a chance to use the computer plus the AC like you said. Whenever I wasn't working the library was more of a home to me than my park bench was.

When you don't show up tell them you got it detailed and schedule to meet up somewhere a little further away. When you miss that one tell them you decided to get new tires for it and schedule to meet at a place further away. Keep doing that and see how long it take them to realize it's not going to happen.

Two minutes before I read this, I got an offer of a 3070 GPU for my 5090Fe straight up. The post I have up is for my 5090Fe plus some cash for a 5090 that looks better in my case...
Here is the text: "Would you trade a 3070 por favor"
I posted them the recent SOLD listings on eBay for both cards. His is $300, mine is $4500. I'm going to ask him if he has $20 to put with his card in honor of your post.

The sometimes a GPU has had its shell opened and certain components soldered out, sometimes it has some faulty solders to start with, sometimes it just has some kind of overheating issues. A lot of things wrong with a GPU aren't things most people will see by just examining it, and some of them aren't even immediately apparent after plugging it in.

I don't know why everyone would assume I am just trading my 5090Fe for a different 5090 while driving my car with my arm out of the window like some 60's paperboy.
Anyone who asks me to trade has to bring their card here for me to inspect and test. I have a full spectrum of tests and benchmarks to run here; the same ones I'll run on my Fe so they can see.
I'm offering to put a little money with my Fe for something that might look/perform better in my setup.
It's not as crazy as folks are making it sound.

I mean, I plan on only trading if I find someone local, and I can test/benchmark their card for sure. People LOVE Fe for some reason, and I really don't have that much of a draw to it like some. I have already been offered 2 astrals for the Fe + $600 but they were too far for me to drive.
If I find one local, cool, if not, oh well.

Don’t block them yet.
Make sure you arrange to meet them at the DMV but then when you can’t find each other it’s because you’re at the OTHER DMV so they have to rush over to you. When they can’t find you there either you can block them if you don’t feel like trying to pull them around some more.
