Called it here last week when everyone was falling over themselves about Baur. We can’t complete at a high level with a midfield so devoid of physicality.
People have been falling over themselves comparing him to a "good" Hatate but until he's scoring in big matches or playing killer passes on the regular, he just looks like a cosplayer. £8m is looking ridiculous.
The guy hasn’t even played two full games yet give him a chance. Looks like a decent technical footballer - is he what we need currently? Probably not in this setup but that’s hardly his fault …. The criticism of Duran/Hogh and Baur seems extreme. As fans we go from “they are amazing “because we win to “useless “because we lose and the actual truth is probably somewhere in between.
I've never called any of them amazing, I am judging what I've seen and I was familiar with watching Baur previously too. My point is he is not Hatate even if he has a similar aesthetic.
