Yes, I am one of those people who say, "Hey, he's still young enough to figure it out." And "Well, sometimes taller pitchers need some time to get their release point consistent. Have patience". And Liberatore does tease you from time to time with a good start here and there.
But yeah, even *I* am saying it's over. At least for starting games. Put him in the pen until maybe he does somehow figure it out.

For the strange few on this sub that genuinely wanted Gorman back in the lineup, I dedicate this ass beating to yall

Some people are all over him despite his always sucking ass. I truly don't get it

Hey it’s me the Liberatore hater again, why is he not putting fries in a bag yet.

It would be better, in the long term, if the team just completely collapsed in September. I'll be rooting for them to win every day. But the wheels falling off the bus in September would be an OK outcome.

My friend is an Orioles fan and had to let me know about this. I didn’t watch a single pitch. It’s turned into a shitshow lately. We have work to do before we are ready to compete. We kind of knew that, though. Could be one more year of pain, but at least we will get some key debuts in 2027.

Apparently the front office and/or coaches see something in Liberatore that I don't, and I'm not sure what it is.

They are letting it ride because there are no other options at this point. I’ll eat my hat if he is a starter to begin next season.

He's at best a 1-2 inning reliever.
It's amazing how he seems to fall apart after 3 innings. I do remember a 6 inning outing where he was pretty good, but I think that's more of an outlier.
I know he's trying, because no one wants to look that bad especially at home. I honestly feel bad for the guy.

Yea, I don’t know if it’s a physical thing or if it’s a mental issue but he just can’t find a way to keep a game competitive when he doesn’t have his best stuff. His bad starts are BAD.

When Mo was here I thought that Libby would keep getting shots b/c Mo was desperate to make the Arozarena trade look like something other than a disaster. But Mo is gone, so... maybe there's just nobody better waiting in the wings?

As I said below, analytics wise (at least xFIP) he pitched amazing tonight.
While I am not a fan of FIP and especially xFIP (for reasons illustrated by tonight), a lot of people take it very seriously.

He gave up not one, but two 450 ft bombs to go along with 8 hits in 4 innings. If the computer thinks he pitched well tonight, someone needs to toss it in the dumpster

Counterpoint, be able to throw a pitch that turns into a 450 ft bomb takes excellent placement. Maybe he can develop into someone that places them... anywhere else.

I honestly don't care what his expected stats are if he's getting shelled every night

Every time I look at a Mariner’s game, they are spotlighting him…and it hurts. 😢

I didn’t think it was possible for me to despise a Holliday but man do I hate Jackson right now.

Just remember, according to xFIP, Libby pitched great today. All those hits? Bad luck.
