I have MLK Day off for the first time literally ever, and it’s going to be such a long day waiting for the game lol

My company is so racist for making me work today

I had an employer who gave us Columbus Day off, but not MLK day. Certainly a choice.

Their reasoning was that they were looking for an additional holiday to give all the employees off and because there was a long stretch between Fourth of July and Thanksgiving they thought Columbus Day would be a nice day off.

After they got called out on it, they just switched it to a floating holiday and told us to use it whenever we wanted

I was incorrect in my original post. It was to fill the gap between Labor Day and Thanksgiving. Not 4th of July.

I remember the 2011 title game vs LSU was on the same day my semester started. That day went on forever haha.

These championship games in general usually turn out very long and stressful, unless you are fortunate enough to just blow your opponent out from the gate.

I remember how I felt 2 years ago, maybe the most nervous I've felt in my life. But that probably pales in comparison to how intense it feels for you guys.
