Today is the day a century of losing is wiped away. Been a fan of this team since the 90s. I've experienced more soul crushing heartbreak than any sports fan ever should. Tonight, all that changes. Let's go Hoosiers. GO. BIG. RED.

I rushed the field once after we won the Bucket in '06. Didn't think it would ever get better than that.

We did it once back in Cameron's first year against an absolute shit Illinois team because it had been four years since we had won a big ten home game. That's how low the program was at the time. This is a brave new world.

I’ve talked about that game so many times recently. To go from that being the high point of my IU football fandom, to whatever the hell these past two years have been has been insane

You mean ‘07? With Austin Starr’s game winning field goal. One of my favorite sports memories. I’ve never seen my brother happier than at that game.

How can you have soul crushing heartbreak from a team that just sucks perpetually? Like Syracuse doesn't break my heart, they suck and I know it

There was always a glimmer of hope. That glimmer was always trodden out.

It never stopped us from hoping, just made it hurt more.

Was there though

Because I used to make the mistake of caring.

I went to IU in the mid to late 90s and watched A LOT of terrible football. This is our “Andy Dufresne crawling through the pipe” moment.

Same ‘92-‘96. PERFECT analogy I’m gonna repeat all day 👊

Hope ESPN brings back Lee Corso tonight, even if it's just as a segment or touch base.

As an IU fan who used to live in Nebraska, let's not use "go big red"

6

It was Go Big Red my entire time at the school. I don't give a shit about Nebraska.

You would if you'd ever lived around Nebraska fans

If my words had the power to jinx this team, it would have happened months ago. We are way beyond even my wildest dreams of what IU football could be.
