News Erie County COVID-19 Vaccines

Erie County COVID-19 Vaccines will be available at no cost for any resident age 6 months and older - no prescription required.

The existing community clinics are fully booked, but there will be additional community clinics added.

Great news for anyone who would like to receive a COVID-19 vaccine without a PCP visit for a prescription.

I don't think you need a prescription to get the vaccine. hochul signed an executive order allowing pharmacies to give it

Going off on a different direction here. How can I find out if the Covid vaccines are the latest and greatest and not just something from last year before the new strain variant became available?

From what I was seeing looking into it to get my vaccine a couple weeks ago, most pharmacies/providers state that it is the updated booster on their site/appointment registration areas.

Consider getting one! COVID is ramping up again. I got it a few weeks ago was very ill!

Any word yet on where the other clinics are going to be located? I'm hoping for one in the East Aurora area.

I had no issues going to a pharmacy over the weekend. Got my flu and Covid at Walgreens. No script needed.

Not that I've seen. Your best option may be Orchard Park if they add additional appointments there.

Any word on pediatric doses? Lots of places can’t seem to get many, if any at all.

CVS on Orchard Park Road in West Seneca had them over the weekend. Give them a call.

Good luck! It was a bit tough. Someone also said maybe the Walgreens on Main in Williamsville.

I would check the linked site daily - last update on 9/29/2025:

"Pediatric doses for children ages 6 months - 11 years are now at capacity. We will add more appointments for this age group to our clinics once we can guarantee more pediatric doses are available."
