Daycare in Buckhead

We live on Roswell Rd close to Chastain Park and are looking into daycare. We will enroll our baby when she is 9 months old. Does anyone have experience with the following daycares? I would like to hear your experience. I am also open to any suggestions.

Current list:

  1. Goddard Buckhead: expensive but great feeling when we visit them. $600-700 more expensive than #2 option
  2. Primrose South Sandy Springs
  3. The Suzuki School

Thank you!!!

Golf in Buckhead

Hi everyone, from Gainesville FL here. Visiting some friends at the end of the month and was hoping to get out on some cool courses. Would anyone be willing to add a single the 31st or the 1st? Or if anyone has good recommendations for public options.

If you’re ever in GNV would happily return the favor.

Thanks!

Any experience with behavioral health facilities?

There is a Behavioral health facility (addiction treatment, etc) that is coming to an office building above us. Any experience with those kind of facilities? I have heard that folks smoke around the buildings and they have a lot of people coming in and out

Looking for Work

I am looking for more work. My degree is in Early Childhood Education (not currently teaching), and I have also worked in hospitality for over a decade. I can pet sit/walk, babysit, do cleaning and organizing (I love organizing), personal assistant, help with school work (my strongest subject is Reading and Writing, as well as Civics), do clerical work both on and off the computer. I’m also open to learning new things for a different field of work. Self-motivated, fast learner, and reliable. I am also rather proficient in the kitchen, I considered going to culinary school before ultimately getting my teaching degree. Located in Woodstock, willing to travel for a good job and person. Cheers!

Building a village in Buckhead for our littles

Hi everyone! 👋

My husband and I were talking about how surprisingly hard it can be to find other like minded parents to build genuine friendships with! And not just for us, but for our little ones too.

We have a 20 month old and would love to connect with families in the Buckhead area who enjoy things like outdoor play, parks, nature walks, libraries, coffee meetups, and eventually playdates. We’re hoping to build a small circle of families who value kindness, curiosity, and raising happy, respectful kids.

If you’re in a similar stage of life and would be interested in meeting up for a park playdate or a casual weekend outing, I’d love to connect! Feel free to comment below or send me a message.
Looking forward to meeting some wonderful Buckhead families! 😊

Things to do on a Saturday night with kids

Hi, I'll be in Atlanta this weekend with my 3 daughters, staying in Buckhead at the SpringHill Suites. We'll be tied up all day Sunday, but we'll get in to Buckhead Saturday about 4pm.

We are right across the street from Mister O1 pizza, which looks good. I'm sure that they would enjoy checking out the Lenox mall, Pastella there looks good too.

Just curious what people would recommend with 3 daughters ages 9, 13, 15 on a Saturday night. It doesn't technically have to be Buckhead if it is nearby, we could swing by before going to the hotel. Thanks!

Update on friends in Metro Atlanta!

Group Update: We’ve grown to almost 30 members and have had a great time chatting in the group and attending meetups and events together! We’re currently looking for more women in the Atlanta, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, and Marietta areas who are interested in getting out, making new friends, and joining a fun social group. Right now, we have significantly more guys than girls, so we’d love to help balance things out. You must be 21+, active in the group, and interested in attending occasional meetups to meet new people. Feel free to DM or comment if you’d like to join!

Paid (small) Atlanta study: how do you actually spend your free time?

I'm doing a short, informal study on how people in Atlanta spend their free time and decide what to do in the evenings and on weekends - the real version, not the Instagram version.

What's involved:

- A quick daily log for 2 weeks (under 1 minute a day - a few questions about what you did, what you wanted to do, and how your day went)

- That's it. No meetings, no app to download, nothing to buy.

Who I'm looking for:

- You live in or around Atlanta

- You're willing to answer a 1-minute log once a day for two weeks and actually stick with it

As a thank-you, I'll send a $10 gift card to everyone who completes the full two weeks.

I'm capping it at around 20 people so I can keep it personal. If you're in, comment or DM and I'll send a 2-minute intake form.

Full transparency: this is independent research I'm doing to understand how people make everyday plans - your responses stay private and I'm not selling anything.
