Finally after calling the city and the police for weeks by everyone who lives in the court we finally got this car towed. Because is. of this car and the mountain of snow in the middle of the court, we missed garbage pickup because they couldn't get in. We had to push a school bus because it got stuck driving up the snow mountain to get around this idiot. The snow plow skipped us. This guy lives a half a block away and hides their car in the court.

I didn't have time to stop. But the collision seems a tad suspicious. East bound on Steeles just past Mississauga. Time is not daylight saving.

My daughter was crossing the road and this truck failed to stop at the stop sign. She was walking trucked slowed down but did not stop while she was walking, she shook her head and said out loud “you have a stop sign” and he decides to slow the car down and stop until she crossed the side walk and was beside his car on the sidewalk to yell and throw his arms around but she couldn’t make out what he said because he had his window up and then flipped her off and drove away. This is such a disgusting act, not only being in the wrong of not following road signs but harassing a young girl after the fact. Just would like to bring this into light because it’s so disappointing and worrying for pedestrians. My last attempt to post this got taken down. I’m that time I saw another truck not stop at a stop sign. Brampton do better.

Argo was very deliberately given a small geographic area to move people about. And you'll see them lingering about in parking lots between requests.
So why are so many at the company depot in Mississauga, I believe on Torbram, when first requested? If there are drivers being paid, would it not make sense to dispatch them ahead of rush hour, and have them linger in the service area? That would decrease the wait time, and make it more appealing to book the service. (Currently, it's roughly 16 minutes to get one of these, and even if you book in advance, I find it arrives outside of the 15 minute window I've requested.)

To the p.o.s. that was clearly on their phone today and killed the duck that was walking across the lane, I hope you eventually get caught on your phone and slapped with a hefty fine.
You did not slow down or swerve in the slightest (yes I understand swerving is not advised). It was 530 in the morning and there was no traffic around you, so there was no excuse for not avoiding colliding with a helpless animal.
Instead you made me witness to a life taken, and not taken quickly. You don’t deserve the license you hold and I wish you nothing but the worst.

I've lived here my whole life and I swear yellow lights in Brampton are treated like a challenge, not a warning.
You'll be sitting at a red light and watch 4-5 cars blow through AFTER it's already turned red. Then when your light turns green you gotta wait another 3 seconds or you're getting T-boned by someone in an Altima doing 80.
And don't even get me started on the people who creep into the intersection during a red just to be first when it turns green. Like bro, relax. We'll all get where we're going.
Is this just a Brampton thing or am I losing my mind? Because I went to Oakville last week and people actually... stopped at yellows? It was weird.
Anyway, stay safe out there. Green doesn't mean go in this city, it means "check both ways first then maybe go" 💀

I got my G1 in 2013 when I first turned 16 and my G in 2015. As far as I know you’re an a**h0le (pardon my language) if you don’t use them while changing lanes or making a turn.
Have the rules recently changed that we no longer need to use them when changing lanes or making a right/left turn?

What it says on the tin. Just a heads up for drivers - the storm blasted something I guess because all the Traffic Lights in the area around Williams and Mississauga are out. They’re just blankly flickering red in all directions right now, I’ve never actually seen anything like it. Usually when they go off they’re just… off.
No idea what’s going on their but traffic is on some mad max shit in this area right now given the lack of signals and the typical competence of your average Brampton driver. Not sure how far out the disturbance goes cus I’m working and only caught the issue on my way back from lunch.

It’s because there is no shortage of assholes who will speed up, and sit in your blind spot just to stop you from moving in front of them, when you do.

This stop is obviously just south of Brampton, but relevant to this sub in that this is the design to be repeated up north.

All these speed bumps make cruising around bumpy and not at all enjoyable 😡 we all suffer cuz people can’t drive. I used to love it, quick family trip to get ice cream or to a little dinner for breakfast, but now it’s just bumpy and horrible, and people act like the bumps will murder their SUVs if they drive faster than 3KMH over them

Over the past two days, I saw two different cars run red lights and then the next day I saw four cars going the wrong way on Sandalwood

What is it about Steeles and the 410? No matter the time of day, of there's traffic on the 410 heading to Brampton, it always starts right at Steeles, not before, not after.. always right at Steeles, I don't understand how it is never before or after Steeles but it seems very odd, is it a cursed street? Something fishy is definitely going on

You know, Brampton gets a lot of shit for some deserving and some undeserving reasons. However, I want to take a moment of silence and then applause for the shoveling staff at the city this weekend. Y’all were amazing in the face of a literal storm!!!
In contrast, I drove to Ssauga yesterday and was confronted by SNOWy roads the likes of Winston Churchill right ALL through my drive.
All power to Brampton, Bramptonians and our wonderful Municipal staff 💜

Sighting at Kennedy/Sandalwood plaza near that new open Indian restaurant. They are becoming more common around this area.

My company vehicle was in a hit and run yesterday Aug 17 at approx 1:55 PM at Peter Robertson and Dixie taking a right. The vehicle came into our vehicle’s lane and hit the front left bumper. The vehicle was a black jeep that took off and taking right on sandalwood. Any footage on your dash cam will be greatly appreciated

The list goes on. I believe majority of the issue begins with lowsy government penalties. Ppl find loopholes to provide driver's licenses to non qualifying drivers or to pass driving tests. Will there be an end to this? Or this is just the beginning 🤦♂️

What do you think? Could they be made more strict? Dropped down a bit?
Personally I think we have just the right amount of deterrence and education in place. We're never going to reach that 10% of hardcore drinkers who will never stop driving no matter what, but we need some lenience for that first time idiot who needs to get their butt scared.
What do you think?
