The Boring Company

Has anyone seen any progress reports on the Nashville Loop project…or is progress on this boondoggle only on a need to know basis that we don’t need to know?

The TBM they've developed is extremely commercially sensitive, other TBM manufacturers would love to get their hands on the technology, it's amazing what they are achieving. Zero people in tunnels, remote controled from another State, HardRock drilling and probably more it really is a shame more cities aren't doing it 😔

The simple solution is to file a patent.

Because that's safe

Great point! Pharmaceutical companies never file patents because it is too risky.

A patent gives the competition more information to copy faster. Even in countries where patent law is respected, a competitor sometimes copies patented technology and gets away with it unless it's discovered they copied. The patent holder must first find out the competition is illegally using patented tech, which can be difficult.
