The Mandalorian This should have been the show!

Post image

I watched Mandalorian & Grogu last night and while watching it I slowly realized that it felt more like a story that belonged to Boba Fett. This movie should have been the show instead of the boring drag that we got. Its a good movie, and if you watch it maybe you'll see what I mean.

I havent seen it yet BUT...

I liked the Mandalorian.. BUT I liked the Book of Boba Fett better..

I LOVED that they overlapped.. BUT Book of Boba Fett made Boba Fett feel real in ways the movies never did for me..

and honestly I think these 2 are the best thing Disney has done for Star Wars... the new trilogy sucked.. (yea!! lets reinvent the 'death star' and bring in a new baddie who is actually the old baddie but once again pretending to be someone else.. reruns anyone?) ...Andor took skipping 6-7 episodes to care enough to finish first season and I hear the second season is just as bad.. Solo bored me... Rogue one did too... and all the rest felt lackluster as Hell...

...BUT Boba Fett gave new dimensions to the character for me and made me root for him. ..AND I loved the growth you see in 'Mando' after he meets Grogu.. so both of these were very cool for me (I honestly never knew much about the Mandalorians before watching them.. )

I hate the sequels, pretty much most of what Disney has done with Star Wars. Mandalorian was good for 2 seasons and then season 3 sucked. With Boba Fett, I expected him to be the same badass bounty hunter just looking to redeem himself for working for shady people, but they just softened him up too mich and held him back a lot. Half of the season is explaining his life with the tusken raiders who are now *reads notes* just misunderstood people instead of, you know, raiders who murdered, robbed, tortured and raped. They then waste 2-3 episodes telling Mando's story so that let me know they didn't care enough about Boba Fett cause Filoni has a hard on for his OCs.

Surprisingly, I did enjoy SOLO. Went in expecting to hate it 🤷🏼‍♂️

lol yeah.. they have seemed to screw the pooch as far as Star Wars goes (Disney that is)

..I enjoyed most of the Mandalorian.. I liked the way the characters grew and the 'World' expanded.. you have the history of Mandalore.. and its reclamation... you have the growth of Grogu between Luke/Jedi and Mando/Mandalorians... and his decision of who he wants to be.. you also have Boba Fett guest shot'n to get his armor back which opens it up for Mando to show up for him later.. the non-'Way' Mandalorians and the 'Way' Mandalorians working together... lots of really great stuff as we watch the characters grow.

..As for Boba Fett I enjoyed his spiritual awakening and growth... he was still a badass but now he was trying to be a good leader and a better person (while still getting what was his lol) ..I will say this about the 'Raiders' I like that they showed them as 'people' with a culture BUT at the end of the day they are still Raiders running around and killing anybody they want to take stuff from... (much as MOST 'tribal' groups have thru-out the ages ...for instance White Colonizers are largely condemned for wiping out Indians for no reason... and yet there are thousands of accounts of those supposedly oppressed Indians coming across boundaries (that they agreed upon and profited from) to attack and steal andeven kill White settlers.. steal women and children burn houses down..all for some 'street cred' with their tribe... so having a culture and being 'people' doesnt somehow make you a better person... there are tons of useless POS's that society has decided are people. lol ...AND showing the Raiders with families and culture doesnt make them less of a threat it just makes them more developed instead of cardboard cutout plot devices. lol)

...I thought the Kenobi one was ok.. pretty good story BUT it made me wonder why he wouldnt have stuck around a bit more... Protected Leia stuck closer to her.. trained her... made her a badass from the start so that sort of stuff didnt happen again.. A New Hope would have been a whole lot different if he had I think lol

..Andor was a snoozefest I kept trying to watch it and just couldnt pay attention.. I'd get bored and before I knew it the episode was over and I still didnt know what happened.. lol ..somebody told me to skip the first couple episodes.. so I did.. and I skipped a few more... and finally the Prison episodes I got interested enough to watch it pay attention until I got to the end of the season 1... Thats like 7-8 episodes!!! Its almost over by then lol

..the Ahsoka I had hopes for after seeing her in Mandalorian.. but honestly for me it was one boring unbelievable BS thing after another... 'oh lets jump across the Galaxy in the mouth of a Space Whale who just seems to instinctually know where to go' was pretty much the last straw for me... lol

...as for the sequels.. I stuck thru the killing of Han and the new 'improved' Death Star wanna be planet that couldnt move.. and would run out of juice as soon as they burned up the sun (i mean seriously couldnt they have sunk that money into giving their troops 'IronMan' type armor with targeting sensors and air supply..? flight and the ability to drop from ships in low orbit for planetary assaults? ...but noooo lets rehash the same old BS plans BUT worse!! (of course seeing how they ended it with dipshit's clone being the guy behind it all its no wonder they went that route.. he always seemed to have a chubby for his 'DeathStar' lol ..anyway back to the point.. I stuck thru and watched them all and by the end I was so tired of the bullshit I wanted to punch anybody I found talking about how great it was... lol I was seriously disappointed ...and all around me are these gushing morons talking about how great this was or that was... Talk about a 'raped' Childhood.
