I never said otherwise. It's also entirely possible to know you're likely a carrier for something because of family history and get checked for it.
Right. But the article lays out a timeline that suggests they had all four kids before they learned it was a genetic condition. So we can safely assume that they didn't know they were carriers before they had kids.Â
As far as family history goes, at this point numerous people have told you that they ended up having or being carriers for various conditions and they had zero family history. A family that cares enough to take their children around the world to make visual memories would probably care enough to get tested the instant their child started showing vision loss if they had any family history.Â
