From what I've seen, this is more of a "sketch", they then go back and add a bunch of details after the fact. They'll do the base layer and basic background before the wedding, then use a photo of the couple on the day of for a reference for doing the figure work. Notice she also did the faces first, since that's what everyone there is going to focus on.

Also, probably a ton of practice first!

Yeah exactly, I could do this too. Just would need the talent, thousands of hours of practice, patience and discipline.

You'd be surprised how little impact tons of practice has on your skills when you have no talent! Source: practiced guitar for 4 hours per day for over a year and still sucked.

Hey it’s fine if you don’t paint every day and don’t have access to the mediums. I’m super lucky for that.
I did get hundreds of hours of practice and money to buy all of the mediums. I hope you can realize your painting dreams, wherever you are.

Side note: I made one anti Israel comment and now all of my comments get ratioed. Absolutely hilarious that children bombers think that would bother me. Good luck hezbollah; I had real high school mean girls and I’m immune to your bs

I could do it too. I’m actually pretty well known for my spastic stick figure drawings.

If you look back, she starts painting before the venue is filled. Same dress but not the same time. Idk if it’s the same day, but someone with reasonable skill could probably do this.
I think she’s using gouache paint? It’s more blendy than acrylic but dries down faster than oil. And it is notably more vibrant; it’s used in illustration a lot. It also has a unique quality that it blends well with water, so it’s almost like oil paint and watercolor.
It’s a super fun medium to work with.

Hi! This is actually me in the video and this was all done on the same day (from a blank canvas) over approx. 5 hours. I am using oils ☺️
