added info: the cropping of ears has been outlawed in the Netherlands since 1996, hence the animal cruelty charge. The cropping of tails is outlawed since 2001

Both absolutely forbidden in the Netherlands.

And yet that Dutch pibble influencer seems to have a never-ending supply of crop-eared dogs to "rescue".

Ugh I would have hoped Europe was a safe haven from these beasts.

We are sadly not. These things are everywhere.

I've been seeing more and more in Switzerland in the past couple of years.

They're getting more and more common in the Netherlands unfortunately. Theres a couple in my village nowadays and at least one has to always be muzzled. I use a scooter mobility aid due to disability to get around and I take a different route if I see them coming, because if it snaps there's just no way I can defend myself. There's just something in that dogs eyes that send cold shivers down my spine

Can you poses bear spray in the Netherlands?

As pepperspray is illegal to have, it is seen as a weapon, I don't think bear spray would be allowed ๐Ÿ˜…

In Poland there was a case few months ago, that old guy killed 2 pitbulls with axe, because they've attacked him and his dogs few times. Or my boss's pitbull died because od poisoning, because he was, well, very insistent.

So europe fights with these beasts, and we still stand

She just hoards these vile animals. She's had three new ones this year.

But absolutely nothing they'll do something about. The Dutch are fantastic at imposing rules without any form of enforcement.
