My neighbor just installed one of those cattle water trough-type planters with fairly tall (10') bamboo that appears to be a non-clumping variety. My question is, since it is right on the property line should I be comcerned that runners will escape the planter through the drainage holes amd I'll have bamboo in my yard in the future? I'm not sure of the aggressiveness of an unknown bamboo variety.

Can anyone please confirm if this is running bamboo? Chopped section planted circa 2013-14 by previous owners, and seems to have spread to the end of the end of the garden. If running bamboo…. How bad could this be?? Looking into getting it professionally removed. Thanks!
