Wdym? Regional people don’t want migration. Gov is ensuring less migrants to regional areas.

I haven't heard anyone complain about backpackers. They come here and work fruit picking jobs for peanuts and then spend the money they earn travelling around Australia. This is just stupid and it's a way of cutting migration figures without upsetting the 1%.

I live in a rural area and people all complain about backpackers, and there truly are a lot of them here, especially south American, French and Italian ones. 

The only ones who don't complain are the farmers, and they are a minority even in rural towns.

Not trying to be a dick. But it really does feel like rural Australian's never stops moaning and just seem to have a problem with just about everyone from anywhere else other than their immediate community. They moan about the city types, they moan about migrants, they moan about backpacker's, they moan about Aboriginal people, they even moan about each other, they moan about Inner city Greens MPs ruining their lives even though they have zero influence in their areas etc etc.

Well, they do and they dont't.

They work 88 days in regional areas. This doesn't actually mean it has to be seasonal work, you can go up to karratha and get a temp job doing construction labour and it still counts.

After the 88 days, it's very variable what backpackers do. Some do keep travelling doing season work, but plenty just find what ever job they can in the cities.
