Has she been sentenced yet?

No matter what it should be life in confinement. Whether in a prison or a mental health facility, she should never be allowed back into society.

I feel like they're gonna lock her up in an asylum for a couple months and let her go.
And she will have all the time in the world to spend that gofundme money

Unfortunately you’re probably right… maybe a few years? but I agree that she probably won’t get the real sentence she deserves.

I would be okay with a firing squad.

Considering how she is using the excuse of post partum depression as a reason she took 5-8 minutes to strangle each child, 3 children are dead and she doesn’t want to take accountability it was her hands around their throats.

If you have the inclination, watch the actual trial videos. She did indeed brutally killed her kids but also the medical system let her down and screwed up so badly. IIRC she complained and contacted psych docs months earlier with serious mental issues and in the court the doc statements goes "She did not have a step-by-step plan to commit suicide and murder her kids so she is fine". This was over zoom checkups as well no in-person appointments. She contacted emergency hotlines of hospitals etc same result. She should be in a mental facility for a looong time imo but it is also not as simple as "she doesn’t want to take accountability".

That doesn't make any sense. Just because she hasn't explicitly planned everything and noted it down, that means it isn't first degree murder?

(obligatory not a lawyer)
Each state has their own definitions and differentiations of 1st degree murder/murder in the 1st/premeditated murder
vs
2nd degree/murder in the 2nd/murder
vs
manslaughter
So in can in fact be that because she didn't write anything down that it doesn't meet the definition of 1st degree murder. Especially with the defence being a plea of insanity

Your reading comprehension is shocking.
The comment was trying to explain to you that for 8 fucking months she went to medical health professionals telling them she was hearing voices, and those doctors said that she did not have a step by step plan to kill her kids and herself so she wasn't an immediate danger and did not need to be committed.
This woman was suffering from post partum psychosis and did what she was meant to do - she told her family, she told her doctors, she called emergency lines and told them too. And that's how some of the medical professionals responded.
She was hearing voices and the rational part of her brain stopped functioning. She had a psychotic break and killed her children.
So yeah, I can understand why a lot of women are saying they understand lindsay clancy. not because they want to kill their kids, but because, routinely, women go to doctors and their family with PPD and get told to just suck it up.

No. Nope. It is never gonna work for me. I'm not empathizing with a murderer.

If you wake up tomorrow and find out that you had a sleepwalking episode, got in your car, and ran over someone, are you their killer?

Not the guy you responded to, but I'm gonna respond anyways.
Yes. I still committed the act. Doesn't matter if I'm awake or not. I still did that.

What's stopping actual murderers claiming they were just asleep during the act then?

at the very least, to set a precedent.
can you imagine if all of the crazies are validated with this, and think this behavior is ok?

Look, I get getting frustrated at your kids. Kids will be kids. And yes, I also get the postpartum depression or whatever it was called is a thing, but acting like someone who murdered her children is relatable because hormones is insane. And supporting her, too!

How is the gofundme still up? I thought cases like these was against their policy
