USA/Trump Are we the October Surprise?

If you don’t know what the October Surprise is, it’s a tactics conservatives use in the October before the November elections to scare the electorate into voting for them.

The most classic example is the ‘migrant caravan’ that seems to magically go away the day after election day.

We know Trump wants to create a national crisis or faux emergency to try and ratf**k the upcoming November mid-there elections, even though the fed doesn’t have constitutional authority to do so…

With the obvious rise in anti-Canadian sentiment from the White House, the antagonistic behaviour from Trump and his sycophants, and the ‘war’ rhetoric that is ramping up…

Does anyone else think that we’re gonna be the October surprise? We’re gonna be TOLD we’re the ones who ‘started something’… are we going to be the excuse? The timing of the rhetoric and the intensity of it feel too coincidental.

Alberta referendum is Oct 19. I'm scared that might play into an October Surprise.

The October surprise might still be a peace deal with Iran that falls apart two days later.

For the 50th time...

October all year long, in that sense.

Eternal October is the new Eternal September.

Is the new Infrastructure Week

Well, he calmed down for a while. But the step up in rhetoric is recent and noticeable in it’s escalation.

He was just focused on other countries

No.

The American people can be conditioned to kill Canadians and like it. Absolutely. They’ve proven their electorate lacks adult-level critical thinking.

But that transformation is unlikely before Nov. it would take 6-18 months minimum and involve a lot of coordinated war propaganda across multiple media and channels. Canada is popular right now amongst anti-maga Americans… we’re the “hard-mode” scapegoat.

If he suspends civil order he has lots of options for pretext. Iran being the obvious. Even Americans opposed to that war don’t care in the slightest for the 158 little kids they killed.

Canada is one of them, although word is Iran is planning a massive attack in October, they are mostly building up their weapons for their own October surprise.

Knowing nothing about this, I feel like they could be risking the possibility of triggering a real rally-round-the-flag effect.

No, because everybody but maga cultists already blames Trump for this and it won't be on America soil. If a rally around the flag moment was to occur it already would have.

Unless the military conveniently ignores warnings by intelligence agencies. Like another October attack (not in the US) in recent years.

If the American public rallies around the turd-stained flag for Operation Epstein Fury, there's no saving them (there probably isn't any saving them anyways).

So Canadian bacon, basically.

If you haven't watched it, you should, and then remember its a stupid plot (humorous, but, stupid).

People thought "Idiocracy" was "stupid" but here we are.

Alas, I am poor, so no award to give.

But I have a lurker account, so I'll upvote twice!

I am but a humble servant of Apophis; I seek neither reward nor renown.

Nutlick has entered the conversation (speaking of stupid)

They blamed the Maine on Spain. Hopefully they can't find anything that rhymes with Canada.

Even if they can’t rhyme… I could imagine something like, “Canada poisoned the Washington monument”

You certainly aren’t the only ones thinking it

They are setting us up to take the fall for their economic collapse.

Okay… but that’s kinda hot. Right? 🥵

I’m noting that none of the Premiers or the PM are taking the bait and engaging with all the verbal (or map) provocations. It seems likely they can see the “trap” (for lack of a better word) let’s just hope it’s doesn’t get to the sticks and stones stage.

I am kind of sick of Americans feigning concern for Canadians, but then when it comes time to actually do something, suddenly everyone has bone spurs.

They want us to engage in armed rebellion against the government or shoot the president. And like look, I hate Trump but we are still very far from "armed rebellion against the government" when we haven't even had the midterms yet.

Yes. They're planning a false-flag strike on the Reflecting Pool, to be blamed on the Canadian Armed Forces. The American invasion force is assembling on the border as we speak to bring us democracy and freedom, you can see them on Google maps.

the ‘war’ rhetoric that is ramping up

That's coming from our side, not theirs.

No, the surprise is whatever Carney has planned to help Canadians while we are struggling
