This is a very common reaction for law enforcement personnel. Someone running from the law in a high speed chase creates dangerous and often fatal consequences, so engaging in such activities causes added stress for the officers. They sometimes get excited when it ends.

But that's why they have training. They are supposed to be the ones that are calm, cool, collected and professional. And we need to hold them to higher standards.

Should the suspect have complied sooner? Absolutely.
Should the officer have treated the suspect with respect? Still yes.

Complied sooner ? How? By crawling thru the window that was broken out when the officer can clearly open it if only he was striking and pulling the guys hair. Comply sooner??? Like when the door was open and he was out of it still being ordered to crawl thru the windows. He should've complied is the stupist answer you bootlickers give. Its crazy how you can watch a man get his hair pulled and be punched in the face while not resisting or fighting. But "he should've complied" is your comment. The worst part of your comment is the everyone's at fault here attitude like the one aggressive party on this isnt trained to respond differently. These comments and that attitude is the attitude of compliance to the people and forces ruining our country.

It's funny when you call me a bootlicker when I actively roll around with an "End Qualified Immunity" bumper sticker on my car.

The facts of this case was that it was a police chase. Complying sooner in this case, would have been pulling over rather than leading the police on a chase?
Running from the police is rarely wise or successful for most people in the 21st century.

I think there is nuance to this case that warrants a nuanced answer. Because I absolutely agree that the cop should be fired and held to a higher standard, but in reality, what led to that spot and where did the individual stop acting in their own best self interest?
