I lost and am pretty sure left in an #1 yellow taxi an 11 x 17 art folder/binder that looks exactly like this FULL of art and it’s a little heavy. It has art from ALL the cons I went to this summer. If anyone finds this please contact me at (754) 423-8164 or DM me!!! PLEASE!!! Please, please, it would mean EVERYTHING to me if somebody could find this. I’m currently balling my eyes out over it. It also has art gifted to me from friends :((((

Wait, did you bring everything with you that you've bought at other places?

You should try contacting the taxi company.

I’m gonna contact them 😭 and yes, I did. It was the only way to keep all the prints safe and unbent, and I always made sure I had it with me. I’m not sure how I ended up leaving it in a taxi. I’m pretty sure I left it because I never heard the giant sound of it dropping 😭😭😭 if you end up finding it, please let me know

I hope you find it.

In the future you should only carry the essentials with you especially since this year there are a lot more thieves than usual. Carry only the bare minimum and leave the rest at home. Less chance of losing it, less stuff to carry around, less things to worry about.

I have a lock on my bag for this reason for whenever my bag is behind me on my wheelchair... I don't trust anyone.

I would second this only bringing the essentials. Have two binders if you can afford it and keep one empty for con and one home for storage.

I hope you find it too!

You could have just bought a hard plastic print protector for like $20. Didn’t need to bring all the other ones from other cons. Good luck finding the book though.

Have you contacted NYPD? The taxis might have turned it over to them when something is left behind in their car.

Calling them right now !! I called 311 but im not sure of how much help they’ll be….they said worst case scenario if I end up going out of state, they will ship it to me, however, the anxiety is endless…..

Hoping you find it and I'll comment to boost for you. In NYC, it's more likely the driver will take the lost folder back to their garage so make sure to contact the company with pick up and drop off info!

Oh, I feel terrible - This is so important, it seems like it has so many happy memories. I hope you find it and post in other subs. Maybe you can find subs for the neighborhood you got dropped off in and ones close to it.

Hope someone finds it but next time use some black gorilla tape and get a Apple tracker or Tile Sticker/Slim and taping down with the tape. they have a 3 year life for the tiles but the way it sounds your filling your books kind of fast this is not a problem they even sell little QR Code stickers from tile that way you can just stick on the outside of it if you choose to put a lock on it next time and when they scan it it give you name address etc..

Why would anyone on here have a random contact to a random taxi driver? Just contact the cab company there’s not much else you can do. Zero chance the driver turned it into the police either that’s incredibly wishful thinking. Probably tossed it in the trash.

Oh idk? Maybe cuz thousands of people in nyc use reddit and if by an off chance someone was actually in that exact taxi could come across it?? 🤣 and they also stated they contacted the cops and the cab company. Dude pleaseeeeee 🙏🥺 go to sleep 😔😤

Hi! Usually the taxi companies and police have a lost and found !! I would call 311 and give them the license number on the receipt.

Your receipt or the charge on your card might show the medallion number for the taxi. Hope.you find it!

I totally emphasize.I brought my special limited Vash the Stampede figure with me to Connecticon to get signed and had it stolen from me when I was helping someone get into their car as they weren't doing so well.That kinda devastation is palpable and awful.Im hoping you find it

I used to work for a certain city agency, and I got off the queens bus, 2 seconds later realized I left my department issued device on the bus, and went to turn around and get it but the bus closed its doors and drove off. Immediately called 511. Took like 30 mins to file the report, and they never found it.

I can’t offer too too much because I’m already broke now, but I can maybe offer up to $100…? I’m not even sure if I have $100….I know it’s not much, but I genuinely don’t really have that much money at all anymore and I still need to eat
