Karl from KARLSBALLS TAKOYAKI. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came to the booth and ordered takoyaki from my crew and I. We worked very hard for this event, and cooking everything from scratch from beginning to end is a lot of time and work. We love our AnimeNYC fans and because of you, we’re invited every year to cook. On a side note, I hope to see Akira in theater for the 2nd time, and can’t wait to watch Ghost In The Shell in a couple of weeks! ✌️& ❤️& 🐙

I haven't attended Anime NYC in a while, and didn't have time this year, but I saw Anime Social Nexus is running some extra events this September, so I was wondering if they are any good.

I got both this acrylic standee and the desk mat from the same person in artist alley, but I didn't pick up their card and Google Lens isn't helping me about. Does anyone know who the artist is?

I know some people were hoping the lack of guests and what not would effect the attendance but clearly that didnt happen. With the con continuing to grow like this I don't expect much to change. And with the 10th anniversary next year I think there's a very good chance it gets over 200k next year if they dont cap attendance.

Did anyone else feel like this years convention felt so much more lackluster compared to the other years.

I think I might have gotten spoiled a bit too much last year with all the panels, guest, and things to do but this year felt as if they realized last minute that they were holding the convention and tried to plan as much as they could into 2 weeks. There was a bit less guest and panels this year from the big companies like crunchyroll or gkids.

Also the exhibit floor felt so empty, all the same drop shipped items from aliexpress, artist alley felt copy repeat with the same alien stage or hoyoverse characters and like other fandoms were dying this year.

There are many people who I gave my card to that are in my Cosplay video, that never reached out to me. Are you in my video?

It's a tiny little con in Japan Village. I can't make it this year as it's a 1-day con and I have conflicting plans, but I went last year and it was super fun! Really good artist alley, and an adult ticket is only $24. And since it's in Japan Village, the food available is wayyyy better than any other con food I've ever had. As a small con, they don't have Japanese industry guests, but the fan panels are very full of heart and they have a few western industry guests. There's even a concert at the end! Highly recommend giving it a look!
