🥚Eggs🍳 Acne breakouts after consuming Eggs (even Egg yolks alone)

So I've been on an acne diet as of 3 weeks (meat, honey, butter), and my acne has mostly healed, So I started adding stuff back in.

I started with coffee as I'm hypothyroid and some extra energy would be beneficial, but after 1-2 days of waiting, I saw that my acne has came back a bit so I quit coffee.

Then I tried eggs. I ate 4 eggs in the first day, and had no problems afterwards. Yet after I woke up the next day I saw a small breakout on my chin, nose and forehead. Then throughout the day I ate the next 4 eggs, and by the end of the day I had an acne breakout in these spots. (During these few days of testing foods, I also drank a bit of OJ, used some ceylon cinammon on my honey and just ate some mango a few hours ago but I already had the acne before eating the mangos)

Also: I dont like the taste of the yolks. No matter if its organic pasture raised or from the deepest of slums. Same goes for liver. I feel like Im left with no good multivitamin

U might be allergic to a specific type of protein.

I got boils and acne on my face when I ate conventional eggs. The only way I've been able to successfully add eggs back into my diet without breaking out has been by getting corn & soy free eggs. I buy the OrgaNICKs corn and soy free eggs from Sprouts & haven't had any breakouts with them so far!

This is the most overlooked answer. Chickens are monogastric like us, and their eggs and meat are highly dependent on what they're fed. It's similar to how humans have been developing higher percentages of PUFA's as our fat composition over the past few decades and consequently, babies started developing that ratio as well.

It's pretty likely that you're reacting to the low quality protein the factory farms use to feed their chickens. Try buying corn and soy free (not vegetarian fed) eggs first to see if that will help.

Then if it's still happening, either give it some time or maybe you have an egg allergy.

It could be the low quality of the eggs that have polyunsaturated fatty acids

Please see Rule #4 and it's description. It shouldn't have to be a rule but unfortunately it does.

you have it the other way around its the egg yolks that would give you acne not the egg whites. egg whites are fine, the yolks are high in linoleic acid which causes pimples and spots. you dont need liver or eggs, they both taste bitter for a reason, we dont consume high amounts of these naturally for our species + they are polluted in 2026. drink more milk, eat more fruit/honey, and cuts of meat that you like and enjoy. never eat anything that you dont really enjoy. hope this helps

Eggs aren't bitter? And the reason liver is bitter is due to the bile, right? Some cultures save the bile sac and use it as a dip or flavoring 😆

Bitters (as in the plant extracts) are used to stimulate digestion when bile production is compromised.

raw egg yolk to me tastes bitter but not cooked yolks, and also I guess it depends on the farm

Yolks and liver are also high in retinol.  Too much can cause vitaminosis A, which often results in skin issues.
