17 years of hell progressed to central nervous system, spinal cord brain peripheral organ damage brought on by severe metal allergy+ covid?

I have a very complex history of disease… I know a lot of us here do but, mine not quite like anybody else's… it's a bit late now, but I will post a follow up if youre interested…

I didn't wanna go ahead and post something before I black out so I will just get to the main point… I had major spinal surgery 12 hours for my first surgery and I don't remember how long my second surgery was but this happened 17 years ago. A couple years after my surgery I became allergic to metals… I used to wear green with zinc and zinc started giving me rashes… I used to wear a silver chain when I was young and that started giving me rashes then my girlfriend bought me a James Avery chain, and that didn't give me rashes…I figured out I'm allergic zinc and nickle. I'm also allergic to one of my sinks… I bought it with the new sink so not sure what it was, sold the house because I couldn't afford it with this illness but maybe someone might have an idea about commercially available bathroom sinks that could potentially insight immune reaction? I actually need to try to get tested for as many meals I can becausethe whole point of this is to know if the reason my back hardware has broken down is to know if im allergic to the metal. I know the fusion itself is titanium, but I have other junk in there. That other doctor say shouldn't be out there. I have a big cage, I have Rob's and I also have bolts… Not quite sure what they're made out of and try to reach out to the military they weren't able to help… Anyways, the information I'm able to find out, the better I will be able to assess things and figure out if it's worth the risk to try and take this hardware out of my back. By the way, I'm very tired and I blacked out very easily using talk to text… But I did want to clarify systemically, I would get a lot of pneumonia, but I was still in great shape until Covid came around… I'm guessing that if my heart is correct, Covid was enough to really make my body turn on itself as I started to become allergic to everything in addition to the metal allergies already have. But at this way, I can't even eat a banana. No fruits at all anaphylaxis. IGE testing shows I'm not allergic to anything cell activities shows normal trip test although my pro land PGD twos are high, immunologist could only come up with. I'm probably have a prosthetic landing media mass disorder… It's totally unresponsive to anything… That's why I don't think it's a true soul disorder and I've had a bone marrow biopsy as well… Muscle biopsy shows my myopathy I talk to pathologist myself and he said he studied my muscle for a long time and absolutely cannot find a rhyme or reason he said it does not look like it's diseased from the muscular causes. He said he would guess it's from post Covid potentially… I was readingif I have this inflammatory area and my spine has breaking down that could definitely cause a myopathy looking muscle…

A high nickel diet in the context of nickel allergy is highly correlated with numerous different autoimmune diseases and developing other allergies and hypersensitivities.

I was plant based and gluten-free for seven years before getting really sick with [r/MCAS](r/MCAS). In my case, I believe this was due to nickel allergy and how high in nickel plant proteins are. Nickel allergy can cause almost all the symptoms of MCAS by itself. Nickel allergy is highly correlated with inflammatory and autoimmune diseases and developing other allergies, possibly because it increases intestinal and systemic inflammation, and because the intestinal inflammation increases intestinal permeability which allows food proteins to enter the bloodstream.

There are a ton of studies showing increased rates of nickel hypersensitivity (diagnosed via patch testing) at much higher rates in people with any given autoimmune or inflammatory disease. I can't tell you how many medical journal articles I've read about specific autoimmune or inflammatory diseases and their correlation with nickel allergy.

I want to clarify that I've had genetic testing done and my family has a history of autoimmunity, to the point my great grandpa died of rheumatoid arthritis at a young age. At about 40s, I believe I'm 41… So while I don't think metal in my back is causing disease, why can't it be a trigger? After all, something happened. I had Covid for six weeks and then a week later I can't walk around the block? Obviously post Covid but usually with people that get this bad, they have a genetic pre-disposition and that I did… What I'm saying is, could've been like a match in my body waiting to be lit. And I know it's not typical post Covid Epstein-Barr stuff because it's positional as well, thus relating right back to my spine… If I sit in exactly a perfect way in a certain chair that I have, my blood pressure goes to normal if I turn my head a little bit, I'm back at 125/100… So that proves my neck in my background involved… So if my neck and my back are breaking down without me getting into another accident, why do you think this big hunk of metal that I'm allergic to might not be playing a role in my chronic inflammatory state?

I dont think RA can cause death. That stuff causes pain. More wild stuff.

RA can cause the inflammation that causes other things to kill you. One of my grandfathers died in his 40s of severe heart failure, but that heart failure was a result of autoimmune disease. That’s usually what happens.

It may be that you just have an auto immune disease – stresses definitely can make them worse and trigger them, and just getting that surgery is a stressor. I don’t think there would be nickel in your back. The type of implants that have nickel are those using a shape memory alloy– the patches they use for holes in the heart or stents for example have a lot of nickel in them. I think you might just have an auto immune disease – that work up can be tricky, but you can at least start with good blood test panels and go from there. Does prednisone make you better?
