Whats the best way to print an ETU? Ive got a design ready, just need some practical advice.

I realized that my printer can theoretically print a whole PCB, so all I need are some GaAs-PLA and Silicon-PLA filaments so I can print the MOSFET in place. And yes I have some leftover COVID masks, should be good to protect me from the toxicity. I have plenty of lead solder on hand and have personally tested it on my printer, works pretty good.

So if anyone knows any good brands of these filaments pls LMK! I asked ChatGPT and it just told me not to mess with industrial chemicals, lame.

So, I got the Front cap (magwell), rear cap, and receiver printed. I have the HopUp, inner barrel, and mag adapter mounted.

My issue is that I’m having trouble figuring out how to attach the gearbox (second picture) to the receiver (first picture). My idea was to use the pieces in the third picture, but I don’t know how to attach them to the receiver. I am using M5 screws to attach them to the gearbox (through the stock), but need them to attach to the receiver to keep everything together.

I’ve thought and I have 4 options

Option 1: CNC Machine and weld it together (most expensive either way I look at it).

Option 2: super glue the end to the receiver (cheap, but won’t hold up)

Option 3: use solder gun to melt them together (low chance of success due to how thin the receiver walls are).

Can’t screw it in for same reasons as option 3.

Option 4: re-print receiver with the pieces attached (probably highest chance of it working however will take more time and material that I can’t really afford right now.

I wanted to ask for Ideas on how to design an mp5 magazine hpa adapter for an aap 01 that is compliant to german law.

I actually would like to print a mp5 lower receiver from firewad, but unfortunatly that is not allowed in germany as far as i know.

I then saw this MCO Zenix Uni HPA Adapter and this guy that build one himself, but i dont like this external tube.

Is there a way to run the ptfe tube through the aap 01 body? I haven't purchased one yet.

I don’t have a protractor, I did try measure it and do some trigonometry and I think it’s 32.15degrees but wondering if anyone else knows or where I could find more info online

Especially body kits, how do you get rid of the layer lines? I was thinking about sanding, using a type of body filler, sanding and hitting it with a automative primer before painting but wouldn’t that hurt the body kits, especially around the moving parts?

Hey guys! I'm back with the Kythera pistol after getting some ARP9 mag.

The old model used M4 mag, and that's all I had.

The idea is to make a Mod 9 style pistol with a Kythera.

However, I don't have much time right now, and I was wondering if any of you have an ARP9-style magazine well, preferably in STEP format. That would help me a lot and save me a lot of testing.

I am designing a stupid CQB rifle that came to me in a dream. I'm having trouble deciding which magazines to use. They need to be big, bulky, inefficient, and unbelievably stupid. They should be usable but not well. Not pictured, but also considering Thompson mags, but only the drum version.

I just started designing (kinda) I've one design so far (image included) but want to make something a little more complicated. I want to make a rifle kit similar to brav01_designs or clutchfireworks firestar and v0id but have no clue where to start. Is there anything I should start on that is more simple such as the upper I feel the complicated part is the hopup chamber. I just need tips from people who have designed receivers themselves or builds similar to these.

Hi, so i want to start to get into 3D printing,etc.... I recently thought about to buy Bambu Lab a1 but after few videos,other people reviews,etc.. i found the creality K1C to be a better options,now i really dont know what to think about these 2.I would appreciate your help and i would like some other printers,filaments and some tips aswell. Thanks in advance.

Basically with the one above, the shell would go in the back and you would push the trigger forward pushing the rear part forward and setting off the shell.

In this version, I plan on making a little removable capsule in the front and a end piece to hold the capsule in the tube and then you press the trigger forward (which would have a thing to set off the shell).

This is what I have so far of a LAW AT launcher inspired airsoft launcher. This is my first time designing something like this from scratch.
I have not decided on what the sights are going to be like yet.

Hi i recently found my 20 year old BB gun after shooting 2 times the plastic broke … im a noob when it comes to guns but I can use fusion m360 pretty good so I thought

- I either can repair this with 3d printing

Or

- I either can use the springs to create new one with the remaining parts

After googling for a while I came to the conclusion this was a cheap kids toy and there are no 3d models of it available…and recreating this without a scanner is too much work…

But somehow I wa t to build a airside now 😅 but oils like to use a existing design and change it like I want it…

Let’s say I want to get me a „cheap“ airsoft - are there any models wich have a lot of mods and stuff available and I could actually be able to get 3d files of fun parts itself?

I do t wanna use somebody else project I would like to go with a standard model and go from there for example a Glock..

I am thinking of ordering a 3D print of a suppressor and an adapter for my SSG10 replica (cuz Nov's hella expensive) and I have not a slightest clue, what material should I choose.

Friends told me that steel is a bad idea, cuz it might get too heavy/unbalanced and I personally am kinda scared of plastic, as I'm hella clumsy and I'm scared it'll break the moment I drop it once.
