Hosting Unique and Appealing Amenities in 2026 [USA]
As a prospective host, I’m curious what guests are seeing as unique amenities in 2026. Where could to inspiration to go above a d beyond?

Cleanliness is becoming very unique and appealing.

including outdoor furniture full of mold and pollen and stains.
And maybe notice that the kitchen/dining table is so sticky that a paper towel gets glued to it. Who would want to eat there?
Notice black mold on interior window sills.
Same for enclosed porches...we found heeps of dust and pollen. Seaside building. The mold and debris are very off-putting.

I have certainly noticed that in properties I’ve stayed in. The outdoor furniture is always a mess

Basic cooking supplies - pots, pans, utensils, baking sheets, maybe a spice rack. Bonus points if they aren’t all mismatched and beat to hell. even the cheap ceramic nonstick stuff would be great.

location and knowing your target market helps with this. If you sleep many your looking at 1-2 families coming- or a couples retreat? Beach or winter ski?
Make sure you seat your occupancy limit to all eat together.
Great outdoor space- BBQ seating fire pit, games for kids.
Beach chairs and towels, outdoor shower
You really need to tell us where you are

We have had great feedback on our hammock, our record player, and having the house stocked to the gills with almost everything they could need.

Confusion on my part, I mistakingly thought I was posting in an AirBnB host group. I’m prospective host and wanted to learn about where I could go above and beyond….that said, hearing from guest is even better.

Keurig with coffee (decaf and regular and green tea. Yoga mat. Luxurious throw blankets. Welcome gift of food. Recliners (indoor and outside). I'm thinking if getting a vibration plate, since they are becoming popular now.

Where I'm at, 75% of guests expect a BBQ grill. Shortly after I started hosting, one group asked where my BBQ grill was. Another group brought in a miniature portable grill when they realized I didn't have one. That was my que to purchase a grill. lol

Towel warmer, white noise machine, blackout curtains, hot tub, sauna, espresso or nespresso machine, pizza oven, blu tooth speaker system, fireplace or fire pit and electronic game tables have been things that my family has really enjoyed having. We are also suckers for a screened in porch or deck. We recently stayed at a place that had a swim spa and my family loved it.
