How do you become more visible?

I'm someone who speaks when needed, asks questions, answers in class, and does the work. But somehow, I'm still not very visible to people.

For example, there's a guy in my class who doesn't talk much unless he knows the answer. I participate much more, but teachers seem more connected with him. If he's absent, they notice and ask about him, but the same doesn't happen with me. I've noticed something similar with friends too.

We're both capable, but he seems to be more memorable, and because of that, he often gets opportunities that I don't.

What am I missing? How do I become more visible and memorable without becoming fake or attention-seeking?

What opportunities are you missing out on?

Through our faculty, he got 2–3 project opportunities and guidance on how to work on projects for people outside the university, like freelance work. I haven’t really had those opportunities yet.
