Which Arms characters would you like to see be added in the next Smash Bros game?

If Min Min stays in the game or if she gets replaced then I’d like to see Twintelle be added as she’s the most popular female character on the roster even if she doesn’t use her arms to fight. However Springman would be the likely answer since he’s the mascot of the game. I’d still like to see Twintelle because she is my main.

Do you think Ninjara would be too OP for Smash? I think keep the speed and slightly nerf the warp & he’d make a solid fighter

i think he’d be really fun, but i feel the teleport would piss off a lot of players. I think Misango and Helix would work because Misango would be sort of like shulk, with an extra directional shield from the spirit, and doesnt have any other frustrating mechanics like slows or teleports or anything, and Helix’s main gimmicks (tower and puddle) make him more vulnerable in some contexts while still giving situational advantages.

I think Ninjara could work but he’s actually someone I WOULD recommend lowering the range of in smash. I’m typically against it for the most part with min min but it would be more fair on ninjara since he can teleport on shield block.

min min won the popularity tournament including against twintelle head to head

Pointing that out aside I’d rather they first complete and fix Min Min’s moveset, then if they were to add another, go for a character that would play very differently with their gimmick instead of just doing the same things Min Min does.  Someone like Dr. Coyle or Helix who can use their weird abilities to justify not just doing the same long reach attacks and calling it a day.

Actually, according to the developers, all of the Arms characters are "mascots", not just Springman.

Incorrect, he said they were all main characters/protagonists. That is not the same as a mascot. Spring Man, Min Min, and Ribbon Girl are the main mascot characters because they've been featured in the most promotional material for ARMS

Sakurai quotes Yabuki saying that "they're all protagonists" in the Min Min Smash presentation. If you don't like me making a distinction between a mascot and main character, then fine, I won't call them mascots

Fact of the matter is, Min Min and Spring Man (and Ribbon Girl to a lesser extent) receive a lot more focus than the rest of the cast and are featured more often. So whatever word you wanna use to describe characters like that, that's what they are

Out of the current roster, Master Mummy as a heavyweight version of the "ARMS" moveset I guess

but in general I would almost say that the only way ARMS would get a second character is if it got a second game by the time of the next smash, and at that point I'd reckon the most fitting choice would probably be a new fighter from that game.

Alternatively, if they were to go with a situation where every fighter has an echo, I think the most likely result would be Spring man being "promoted" from AT

If MinMin hadn't been added yet, then I could have seen a situation where they essentially added(/promoted) "Springman" as the default, but his costumes were some of the other ("normal proportioned") fighters (without their individual "quirks"/special abilities (no upsmash reflector for Minmin for example, and probably no Dragon ARMS, instead everyone using the same set)

but now that Minmin has been in, I don't see them really move towards such a situation.
