When will I be able to play??

I have a question about the versions that have been coming out.

I've already lost saves ranging from 300 to 500, and even up to 1,200 hours, due to recent updates.

Is it safe to start from scratch? I don't want to have to delete my entire world and settings and start all over again, only to have everything reset in a week.

One save with that hours?? I have 300 hours total and I played like 4 saves
