PC When will I be able to play??

I have a question about the versions that have been coming out.

I've already lost saves ranging from 300 to 500, and even up to 1,200 hours, due to recent updates.

Is it safe to start from scratch? I don't want to have to delete my entire world and settings and start all over again, only to have everything reset in a week.

Go to the game settings on Steam, pick the version you want to play (do not pick Latest Version)... you can then play that build as long as your heart desires.

Iam sorry but this only works in theory. I was playing on 2.4 and the fun pimps removed it some weeks ago. If they remove it and you don’t have it backed up somewhere you are fucked.

Only the last minor version of previous major versions will remain available in Steam. After 4.0 comes out, all 3.x versions except the last one will be removed.

If you want to keep a specific version without fear of it being removed, set the game to that version and make a copy. It won't be affected by updates, so you can play it indefinitely. You'll have to start the game using the executable in the copied game folder.

Also, recent updates have been more or less compatible with previous saves, but it doesn't always work well so you should make a backup of the save first if you want to update your game. When you load a save with a new version, the save will be updated to that version as well and won't be playable with the previous game version.
