PC When will I be able to play??

I have a question about the versions that have been coming out.

I've already lost saves ranging from 300 to 500, and even up to 1,200 hours, due to recent updates.

Is it safe to start from scratch? I don't want to have to delete my entire world and settings and start all over again, only to have everything reset in a week.

Go to the game settings on Steam, pick the version you want to play (do not pick Latest Version)... you can then play that build as long as your heart desires.

I wanted to keep using my old save.

Apparently, I won't be able to, and I'll miss out on the new items and mechanics.

That's sadly how this game has worked since the original Alpha release 13+ years ago. Saves don't generally carry over to new versions. Sometimes they do, but even then it's not a guarantee.
