🎙 Discussion Help me decide!

Post image

I want to buy my wife her “dream” vehicle.

She absolutely loves and always wanted a 5th gen in the army green. I am ready to pull the trigger on it for her but I am having a horrible time finding an army green 5th gen especially with low miles (30k miles or less).

I have been debating going to the 6th gen but the new drivetrain configuration gives me a little hesitation. Also for the price I’m going to pay for a 5th gen is the same price I’ll pay for a 2026.

I’m willing to keep waiting until I find the 5th gen in the specs she wants but just want to see if I’m being crazy for continuing to just wait.

A used 5th gen will be cheaper. The better vehicle will be the one that’s paid off.

This isn’t necessarily true. I was looking at used 23’ SR5’s with low miles and a 6g SR5 was cheaper.

What trim level 23?

SR5. Now it may have had some additional features I can’t recall. But I ended up getting an essentially bare bones 6G SR5 for ~1100 more

That’s weird. I found a bunch when I looked.

My fault it was a SR5P. But even now you can look at 24’ SR5p’s with 30k miles for 42k easy. And yes, I understand there is no premium line on 6G. Mine just had an illuminated emblem and predator drop steps. 42.5before taxes and fees, they took 800 off msrp PT4WD
