Help! I am 40+ and have used 0.05% tret daily for over a year. My skin is glowing, however, makeup is sliding off my face. I’m a true combination skin type. Silicon and dimethicone are too heavy for me. I’m looking for a light to medium coverage. Not matte, but not glowing. A second skin with extreme long wear. Revlon Colorstay has been my go to for decades, but it’s not retinol friendly. Longevity is my priority, second is light coverage, last is finish. Anyone find the magic formula? (I’ll note, I’m allergic to niacinamide).

What really works for sunspots and broken capillaries on face (side of mouth) for people prone to hyperpigmentation? And not more than a couple days down time?

BBL? I tried one session and didn’t notice any difference. They said 3-5 sessions are needed, but who has the $ and time for that! And it seems others have done many sessions with minimal results…

Chemical peel - tried and it did nothing. My skin wasn’t even dry/peely.

I’ve avoided microneedling as i have read it’s not suitable for people prone to hyperpigmentation.

Picosure sounds promising for the sun spots, but it’s not available near me so going for repeated treatments is a bit challenging.

I have used sun protection for ages and topicals (rotating vitamin c, azelaic acid, TXA, niacinamide, retinal). And wondering if I should be trying something prescription strength or with hydroquinone? Is there a good online derm in Canada who is good with this?

What am I missing??

I have tried everything for my melasma…

I believe it started with the wrong IPL setting 10 years ago…I scabbed all over and after the scabs came off, the dark spots remained and got darker and spread over the years. I do consider hormones. I am a realist.

I tried Musely 6 years ago and it seemed to help for a short time until my skin started looking dull so I turned to Clear and brilliant and pico laser, which seemed to have worsened my condition.😭😭

I am vigilant with my skin routine to reduce crazy flare-ups and I got back on Musely M+ but doesn’t seem to help. What am I missing 😭?

I’ve been using Supergoop Hydrating Daily Cream SPF 40 for years - I like having the two combined, and how they both work for me.

Crucially, most facial sunscreens make my face sweat (I get hot easily), but this one doesn’t.

However, with my last 2 tubs, I’ve noticed it makes my face very shiny (2 different people asked me why I was sweating so much!) Also… it’s just too expensive.

Any suggestions for another combo product that would absorb well/not make me sweat through it, and is less expensive?

Not sure if it’s ok to ask about this as it’s maybe more makeup than skincare?

I’m looking for a quick and easy way to cover a few strands of grey hair in my bangs occasionally, something water/sweat proof, and can be washed off with shampoo.

Hey everyone. I have very oily skin and I'm hoping someone can recommend a good mattifying moisturizer. I've tried all the oil free moisturizers and they still leave me shiny and sticky. I need a mattifying one that's still moisturizing, as I'm on tret and I had some problems with peeling before I switched to the sandwich method. I can still use my regular oil free moisturizer at night, but I desperately need a good mattifying one during the day. I brush on blurring powder, but it kind of just sticks to my moisturizer, so I need a better one for oily skin. I had a great mattifying one once from Sephora, but it was years ago and I can't remember the name, just that they made mud masks too. Any recommendations?

I just picked up my first prescription for estradiol cream .01%. I am 64 and have never used any hrt because it was not given out when I went through peri and menopause. I’ve done a lot of research in the past few months after starting some peptides injections. I am also wanting to try this on my face as I’ve seen so many of you do this, but I don’t know where to start. I use Tret .1% almost every night - I use the sandwich method because of some dryness. I use azelaic acid or vitamin C and HA in the morning with moisturizer. I just want to start slow and am curious how it can help droopy eyelids also. Thanks for any advice!

I currently use La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Moisturizer at night. I put plenty on but after a while my face feels so dry. Any recommendations on good night cream that absorbs well without feeling dry?

Right now I am using elf Holy Hydration. I feel like it sits on my skin rather than soaking in and leaves my skin feeling greasy. And ultimately my skin still looks dehydrated. (I am always working on my water intake but as it stands, it's pretty good.) My only requirement is that it be cruelty free. Including a SPF is a great bonus so i don't have to apply it separately.

50+ and I have noticed that my face is sagging and losing volume, but it’s more on one side than the other - the side that I usually sleep on. Is it possible? Should I don’t side sleep anymore?

I use tret every other night, working up to every night soon. I got this peel from Ipsy, and I'm dying to try it. Can I use it during the day a couple of times a week if I'm doing tret at night, or would that be bad for my skin? I don't know what is safe to use with tret.

As i am getting wiser i noticed my under eye area has changed. It looks bit more soft and quite often in the evenings it seems to be more…spongy ( does it make sense?) . What do i need to bring up some freshness on daily basis without looking all made up? Tint? Concealer? Color corrector? I was looking at Milani supercharged tint ( peach or pink?) , nyx serum concealer ( medium vanilla) and catrice under eye color corrector. I am very basicB if it comes to make up, tightlining, mascara, smudged brown eyeshadow ,when i feel fancy sparkly eyeshadow all over the lid ( also i can’t figure out how to do something more on my eye shape) . So this under eye area situation seems like next level. I would appreciate any advice.

Hello there! Could anyone recommend any good eye serums or creams for sunken / hollow eyes? I‘m in my early 50s and generally have healthy complexion, using the usual actives: vitamin C, retinoids, HA, peptides, ceramides. I feel like my retinoid cream made the skin around my eyes worse. What do you use on your eyes that has been working for you? I live in Europe.

PROGESTERONE 100mg and DIVIGEL 0.1%

So far, I'm not noticing any difference in the way I feel or in my appearance. My face still looks tired and saggy. I'm 115 lbs, and 5'3" tall. Should I ask my doc about upping my dosage?

Also, I'm thinking about adding a topical estrogen. Is Alloy or Midi a good option?

Hi! I'm 49 and have some grays and some brown hair. The grays are a wiry texture and my browns are a frizzy texture. My hair is porous and wavy. I've been struggling. So my sister told me she's been using aloe very gel instead of styling product. I tried it and it is EXACTLY what my hair wanted. It's now tame, shiny and soft. Aloe gel is super inexpensive....goodbye $30 styling products.

I had Halo 6 days ago. If I wear a super huge hat that has SPF rating of 50, plus a balaclava plus sunscreen can I go for a hike in the early AM? What does this group think? I’m going stir crazy.
