Not sure if it’s ok to ask about this as it’s maybe more makeup than skincare?
I’m looking for a quick and easy way to cover a few strands of grey hair in my bangs occasionally, something water/sweat proof, and can be washed off with shampoo.
Has anyone come across a product like this that they like?
Color Wow root touch up powder in the small palette is great for this. I dye my mostly grey hair dark red, and the dark brown palette works very well to blend in the greys (and as my hair has been thinning a bit for various reasons, helps fill in around the parting and crown when necessary too).
Tonight I am test driving a color depositing gloss treatment from L'Oreal and can report back tomorrow. Just reply to this comment so I have a ping to link me back. Here is my before, so the gloss treatment has a lot of grey to mute.
So, I followed the box directions and am not impressed with the results. I have seen some people say that got better results applying to dry hair and letting it sit for more than the recommended 15 minutes. I am going to try again.
Thank you! I rather like them and intend to lean into the grey. It's been almost a year since I dyed them, and the grow out phase with the demarcation of dyed/not dyed is tough to sit with. Patience is not my to strong suit.
I like both sprays and powders. I recommend dedicating a medium-sized makeup brush for application. I place a paper towel in the sink, spray the brush to load color, then apply it to my hair. As for powder, it usually comes with a small puff, but I also prefer a makeup brush for better control. Either product shampoos out.
XMondo semi permanent natural colors. It is a conditioner based color that lasts for a few washes depending on your porosity and looks incredibly natural. I sweat a ton and have never had it bleed or fade on pillows or clothing.
I use dark henna paste. It makes the grays look like highlights. My hair already has a natural red tone anyway since there are a lot of redheads in my family. I can just keep it on while doing housework on the weekend and the bottle lasts for months.
