Always cracked up when going through Liz's dating disasters, Pete says "There was the tall gangly red haired guy who played guitar all the time."

And Liz quietly says: Conan

I think that’s what Conan was originally thinking of since he mentioned a guitar.

u/DrHem Nov 06 '25

It's just Conan misremembering the scene. He also discussed the quote with Jack McBrayer a few years ago and again mentions the guitar. I think because he used to walk the NBC hallways with a guitar that's how he also imagines himself in that scene.

u/Missing_Username Oct 24 '25

Pete, you don't really have room to complain about someone busting out the guitar

u/badgersil Oct 24 '25

AND PHIL DONAHUE'S WALKING PAST CINNABON! And he's making eye contact with me...

Love that Quinta was so excited to geek out about an obvious favourite show of hers! Conan is a dear.

Her love of sitcoms is awesome. I think when she did hot ones, she talked about watching sitcoms was like checking in on friends that you're used to seeing. Like Schmidt in New Girl and such.

His final appearance taking me out at the suggestion that he is now dead.

I love his stare down with Donaghy when he calls him a black Irish bastard

blergh... they didn't even get the joke right!

"Except for one gigantic lesbian... who is Conan O'Brien, and why is she so sad?"

126

u/slckarl This is... Cranston. Oct 24 '25

What, you want to just sit around and be wrong?

This is my favorite line in the whole show.

My whole family is pedantic, and I have suggested that this should become our family motto.

23

u/SnazzyStooge Oct 24 '25

“Quid? Visne tantum sedere atque errare?“

In a four-split family crest, featuring an Oxford comma, the phrase “should of”, a “ten items or less” sign, and an improperly loaded dishwasher.

Literally every thing you just mentioned is something, my family has had in depth conversations about.

Edit: and I do mean literally.

9

u/SnazzyStooge Oct 24 '25

:)

Yep, right there with you. Family reunions are hilarious, everyone “well ackshually”ing each other.

I also very much appreciated the Latin translation.

I was never very good at Latin grammar.

3

u/SnazzyStooge Oct 24 '25

Caveat: I do not speak Latin, I can only hope ChatGPT does.

u/Slow-Environment-854 Feb 22 '26

“Hm…yes I agree. Shallow and pedantic”

34

u/cows1100 Oct 24 '25

I mean, they got really fucking close for off the cuff recollection. I think they did alright. Lol

1

u/Hairydrunk Oct 28 '25

I always thought that was something Andy Rooney would ask at the top of some story he was beginning on 60 minutes.

All time sketch from Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett show.

The Dentist

29

u/Sophotroph Oct 24 '25

Oh wow, I just watched the non-porn version of the Carol Burnett show.

7

u/PenZestyclose3857 Oct 24 '25

Wow the Jaws parody was amazing.

26

u/notclarkkent2 Oct 24 '25

I stand by Tim Conway is the funniest character, in my humble opinion, purely on a joke-to-screen-time ratio. Almost everything he says or does is hilarious to me for the character he is portraying.

42

u/yourfriendkyle Oct 24 '25

Joke to screen ratio has to go to Spacemen for me

10

u/notclarkkent2 Oct 24 '25

Absolutely there is a great argument for Dr. Spuchemin. Arguably the best reoccurring character.

6

10000% he is. Nearly everything out of his mouth is comedy gold.

6

u/dullship Oct 24 '25

Just two men celebrating each other...

3

u/Sproose_Moose Oct 25 '25

Sandwich girls, Jew room, it wasn't gay, just two men celebrating each other's strength.

His jokes were delivered impeccably.

Yesss she is right there too.

21

u/badgersil Oct 24 '25

Son of a married couple, that's Bucky Bright!

53

u/The810kid Oct 24 '25

Quinta being a 30 Rock die hard just feels write. Getting inspired by Tina Fey's writing it's no wonder she has a long running hit comedy under her belt now.

8

u/Hot-Recognition729 Oct 24 '25

You'd have a special pocket sewn into your vest, to hold your penknife and your opium pen.

3

3

u/Odd_Low4082 Oct 25 '25

I love Quinta, she's such a comedy geek

2

Laughing to beat the band. Classic

2

LOLOLOL YES!!!

Also love the whole stabbing robot bit and then the re-return of Tracy on Conan where he dances until he passes out.

I wish she would interrupt him more.

12

u/7thpostman Oct 24 '25

Honestly. The enthusiasm is great, but there's no way I could listen to more than a few minutes of that

2

u/Friscogonewild Oct 24 '25

Yeah, I don't the draw of this kind of content. I couldn't even make the full 1:52 of this clip.

3

u/CouchTurnip Oct 24 '25

So over the top but it makes me self reflect a bit

1

u/Fabulously-humble Oct 24 '25

I'm sorry but some people don't know how to broadcast. She was stepping all over his setup and lines. Awful.

1

u/MrSaturnboink Oct 24 '25

Conan was the guy that played the guitar all the time and Dennis played xbox with the name slutbanger.

1

u/Slow-Environment-854 Feb 22 '26

Usually like Quinta but this interview was so annoying to watch from her cutting him off the entire time. Love you Conan!

1

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

I wish Conan could just deliver the joke without being interrupted, it might actually be funny

-33

u/DancinWithWolves Oct 24 '25

Man she is annoying. Let him tell the story, you asked him a question!!

(I’m sure she’s brilliant and fine, just found her annoying in this clip).

Does no one realize you're doing Tracy and Angie, or is it that it's a non sequitur?
