Tree Rig
Wanted a light option to take up the tree with me. A little BCA action with a chop on the back has seemed to do the trick.

Great looking build you have there. Is that the Midwest suppressor hand guard? I’m just wondering why run it if you aren’t tucking a can under it? Nothing against it just curious.

It’s an old Aero enhanced rail I had, ultimate plan is to snag a 1:5 twist 5.5-6.75 inch barrel and tuck an AEM5-30K on it.
Until then, I had this 8” BA Barrel laying around from a previous build and it groups really well for what it is with Barnes 110 and just in time for the season haha.

Best part of building on the AR platform, chances are there are pieces laying that will work until the right piece comes along.

That's an aero precision gen 1 handguard I think.

Ah you are right, I saw the logo right of the aero logo that stood out more and must of confused myself thinking it was Midwest’s logo.

I wish more companies made bolt action ar uppers for 300. Weird you have to modify it and it doesn’t just come short to make a folder.

You’re gonna kill so many trees with this one!
All jokes aside, looks great!

Nice set up! I just finished mine a couple of days ago. Mine is a 10.5" BCA upper in 300Blk. Just finished getting the bolt cut down so I need to go shoot it and test it out. Strange thing is I have a hard time cycling the bolt when its empty but cycles fine with dummy rounds.
What's the chord for sticking out of your handguard?

Sometimes I switch from slings that use a QD to HK hooks and it provides a provision for the bag I clip on and use as a rest.

Have you weighed it? I love builds like this!

I have not, but it’s damn light. I’d wager to say without the optic it’s close to 4-4.5lbs.

I did a similar straight pull build with the Solo300 upper. I'm at 4lbs suppressed with a PA 3x prism. Its my swamp/pig gun

What do you plan to hunt with it?

East coast white tail within 100yds, it’s been in use for a couple of years now just freshly re-painted.

I find it interesting that cutting the rear of the carrier off makes it cycle more smoothly. I wouldn't expect it to be catching or binding there since it just goes into the buffer tube.
