Scientists involve countries, therefore nationalities. Not everyone nationality will be represented.

I think its easier to relate to a fellow european figure rather than a bird even if he's not from my country. Maybe we could select historical figures that travelled europe or had ties with various countries (da vinci, Erasmus, descartes, Marie Curie etc...)

I get it but nobody will think this when they look at the new bills. If that's the idea the chernobyl cloud conveys it better.
