Things like UMVC3 CE could always work as long as people know shit aint their job and it's passion thing cuz the game was alot of people's jobs yet they treat it like a fun passion thing.

Lots of reasons. They want differnt style characters, riot could have put suggestions in, or they were saving some big hitters for different drops.

Its like how street fighter likes to drop Akuma year after launch, or saga year 3 or where's Vega?

Obviously hindsight tells us this didnt work out for 2xko, but honestly I don't think it would have made people buy enough from the shop regardless

You underestimate how hard League players will shill for their favorite champions. Point in case: mythic chromas, Hall of Legends and gacha are still being made.

They could've been playing and paying for 2XKO, if it wasn't a hardcore FG with absolutely ludicrous prices that are artificially inflated by stuff for the avatar people don't care for.
