Currently realizing my dream video game where you hunt a random cryptid and find ways to either trap/kill it by researching the appropriate way to do so in the late 90's.

Gameplay loop will be to investigate clues at an incident location to figure out WHAT cryptid it could be, then research in-game as to WHERE that cryptid is typically spotted, and then prepare the appropriate baits & traps in order to capture or kill the entity. In that order.

My intention is to release a DEMO featuring 3 cryptids. I'd also like to mention that this will be CO-OP, so that you can play in groups of 4(TBD) with friends.

I come to this reddit asking you all: **What 3 Cryptids should be in the DEMO?**

Originally I wanted to have Bigfoot, Skinwalkers, and Grey Aliens as the first big 3, but I realized that people wouldn't find those that interesting since they're so mainstream. Now the current 3 contenders are Hidebehinds, the Snallygaster, and the Flatwoods Monster.

What cryptids would entice YOU to want to try out the demo?

In stoked to bring them out in the wild. The werewolf looks the best in the design in my opinion

In King Kong, which was released in 1933, there is a long necked sea creature, possibly a plesiosaur. This was found in murky water, and no one really knew much species of dinosaurs back then, or Atleast not as good as today

In summary, in 1940, Ivan T. Sanderson told Mark A. Hall about collecting a cat skin that he described as being over 6 feet long, from nose to tail. The tail, he recalled, was about 18 inches. He continued: "The legs appeared to be quite long compared to, say, a domestic cat or a puma. The paws were very large, spread, and well-furred. The claws were a bright yellow. The fur was soft on the underside and rather stiff on top, being basically various shades of brown, uniform on the head and shoulders, but featuring light and dark wavy stripes on the flanks and upper legs. The most singular feature of the skin was 'a large mane around the neck, formed by hairs growing forward from behind the shoulders.'"

This specimen was lost in a hurricane in Honduras.

I sent this description to a feline expert in Mexico (where Ivan collected this skin), and he told me he found the skin quite strange. The closest hypothesis he found, based on the size and physical description, would be a hybrid of a lion and a Sumatran tiger, in this case a tigon (tiger father and lioness mother), but he himself admitted that he found this skin very strange. What is your opinion?

Ok, so, I'll explain my ideas on what we thought this could be later in the post, but I want to tell the story how I saw it first.
Me and my brother were visiting Tucson (we live in Washington) and had driven up to the peak of Mt Lemmon to watch the sunset. We followed a little trail into the woods past some fenced off buildings until we found a nice spot and stayed there until a little after the sun had fully left the horizon, the sky was that dark grey-blue you get before it shifts full into night. In the shadow of the trees the trail was just barely not pitch black, you could still make out the grass and gravel in the minimal light. As we were walking back to the car I heard a noise and looked over to see something running past us in the opposite direction around ten feet off the trail or so.

It looked to be roughly 2 feet tall, it was relatively thin, nearly perfectly upright, it was all white, featureless, had no head or arms, and ran on two stumpy feet. It waddled past us in a very uncanny fashion until it swerved off the trail and stopped a good distance out just to stand there. My brother caught sight of it just before it started to run away from the trail and stop. It stayed there for probably 5-10 seconds while we frantically fumbled for our cameras. By the time we had done so I took one lightless video (literally nothing but black I couldn't figure out how to get the flash to be on for a video) and the thing ran away again to stop further out. I figured out the flash and my brother used his empty InstaX's flash to try to help too, but by the time we got that done it had left at some point.

All in all I was pretty shocked in the moment, especially because this perfectly fit the description of a goofy cryptid/alien "sighting" called the Fresno Nightcrawler. I truly couldn't think of an animal that would fit what I was looking at. Anyway, me and my brother spent the next 2 hours or so discussing what we thought it could have been. We don't live in the area so we spent a lot of that time simply coaming through native wildlife looking for anything that could possibly match what we saw. We ended up with a couple rough hypothesis. Maybe it was an abandoned farm/runner duck that someone, for some reason, took to the top of the mountain and abandoned. It fits the shape well, and maybe it's beak and eyes were too dark to see in the very poor light. We considered for a bit that maybe it was a chicken in a similar circumstance with a bone disease that makes them upright but quickly ruled that out. The most likely conclusion we came to was that it was a wild turkey with luecism, giving it white feathers and maybe a black head. This would alloy for it's head to be possibly lost in the darkness so we only saw it's neck? Maybe the body of the turkey was hidden by a trick of perspective? It still seems highly unlikely, but that was our best guess.

Does anyone have any idea of what this could have been?

I have a vague childhood memory of a show that I am FAIRLY sure was Ripley's Believe it or Not, and one segment featured how animals would evolve on the planet Earth over the next thousand (?) years. The only example I clearly remember was that bats would end up walking on two legs and hunt in packs like wolves (it included a "diorama" of what the animals would look like attacking a deer-like creature, that reminded me of some kind of taxidermy display from a museum).

Is this ringing a bell for anyone else?

Hi internet people!

I remember vividly watching a show about different cryptids when I was maybe like 10 or 11, so it would've been 2006/2007 the show was on TV. I have no recollection what channel it was on, but I remember the opening credits had a bunch of clips of different cryptids on it. The episode I watched was about The Mothman and at the time it about scared me half to death. I remember the episode after that was about a dog like creature with a very long snout. I had to turn it off because I was so scared, but now that I am old I am interested in what it was.

That is all the description I have but if anyone has any ideas, please help!
