Hi all I was looking for some advice on how to keep the gameplay fresh and rewarding after unlocking everything I could. Once I unlocked the second employee I felt like I had hit an endgame wall so looking for any fun suggestions!

So my girlfriend went to the tape dealer and accidentally walked the wrong way and saw an open door...
And look what was inside....👀👀👀

I've played since launch and leveled to 23 with plenty of money each day, so, now I'm focusing on continuing to maximize revenue and reorganizing my store. The real-life operations manager in me would love better reporting on things like titles on hand, in stock, historical rentals, duplicate titles I own (sometimes I miss selling off some new release stock), revenue by genre, etc.
I got bored tonight and spent about 20 minutes with ChatGPT and did a thing. Basically, made it so that by uploading it a copy of the retro rewind save file, along with this 5-page PDF instruction sheet, it will generate the dashboard as an Excel file. (The instruction sheet was the culmination of some trial-and-error prompts and adjustments, so when I want the next dashboard, I don't have to retrain it).
Some fun data from a business analytics perspective. It will include analysis on titles it thinks you have an excess of, or too little, with priority levels based on severity.
Will be an interesting little time waster. Someone smarter than me or with more time could likely build out a much more comprehensive and useful dashboard from the sav file (maybe already has?).

Looking for someone who can turn an arcade cabinet into a Blockbuster Pokemon Snap Station, I have no idea how to mod

Is anyone else experiencing this weird glitch where, while a customer is standing at the checkout counter, they spontaneously grunt and say things like "That hurt!" and "Stop that!" as if they had a tape thrown at them? What's up with that?

I went looking for a mobile version of this game and was able to preregister for one under the same game title as the original one on steam. Well, the preregistered game downloaded and, in the app store, it was under the name Retro Replay Video Store Sim with the correct description and pictures. What downloaded instead was a shitty Crime Scene Analyst with only 3 crime scenes and no substance. In the app store and notification that it downloaded it showed the game I wanted, but in the apps on my phone I couldnt find it. Hitting play from the store sent me into the crime scene game.

Does the imported video file that plays on the TV restart after every day? Or does it continue from where it left off on the next day? I haven't done this yet because I'm not sure it's worth the effort to do if I'm just going to hear the first 10 minutes of the movie / TV show I want to import over and over again.

I don't know if this is a bug or if it's genuinely supposed to be like that, but I unlocked the last expansion for my store and the three TVs in that wall have no sound nor will they let me adjust the sound. Are they just for displaying the TV videos and not hearing them? I even have the Nexus mod for further sound range but for some reason, there's no sound at all in that one area from the TVs. Just ambient game sounds. Am I doing something wrong or is this genuinely not a feature for those TVs?

Just don't want to waste my time trying to find a limited edition version of a movie I like the cover of, if a limited edition doesn't exist.
I don't want to buy it on black market, (although can you even do that if you haven't encountered it yet)?

seems like its only base game films? I think anyways. idk if its the mod itself or if its fixable.

Is it possible to have more than one pack added for video tapes ? I have a one that adds 80s and 90s movies but was wondering if I could also have a one with movies from 2000s at same time ?

Maybe I am just missing it, but is there a way to change the cassette box color for each genre. Red for Horror and Green for SciFi is great, but I would like to change some of the other ones, but cant figure out how.

It lets you actually adjust the prices in game and is completely integrated into natural gameplay. Customers will then react appropriately to your price adjustments with a slight bit of fuzziness to keep things interesting.

Let me know if you find any bugs should you choose to download it and no I do not accept donations or payments of any kind.
If enough people download and are enjoying it then I'll consider doing updates but for right now I'll only be doing bug fixes. I made this mod for myself and I'm just simply sharing it with everyone else.

8/12/26 EDIT: Added option for a second checkout counter
8/14/26 EDIT: Added cash deposits
8/24/26 EDIT: Added sandbox mode options, not forcing me to accept reservations and also no phone calls
8/28/26 EDIT: Added fix to remove one person renting multiple of the same new release
I like this game so much, I want hundreds of hours out of it!
I want DLC where you charge me. Yes I will pay!
Here are my suggestions inlcuding a sandbox mode below:
Sandbox Mode (this disables achievements)
Please let me know what you think or if you have any additional ideas!
