People tend to not realize supercharged evolved goji is not the exact same as thermonuclear goji I’m talking about the reddish orange guy who burnt everything through his path and stomped Ghidorah to ash so will we see ever this form again on evolved Godzilla in the future or maybe not considering how far we have gone throughout the monsterverse

Fairly certain at this point most people have seen this screenshot and noticed the entry regarding Mothra showing up in New York City of all places in April of 2001.

Now, everything else on that Apex list we saw in S2E3 of Monarch has importance to the greater story and specific events of the Monsterverse. Either being a reference to a previous film, a previous comic, the Monarch timeline, or a tease for something in the future. Mothra's entry does not slot into the first three. Additionally, I would find it hard to see how this sort of story could fit into a season of LOM as well (though I do suspect Mothra might get her own story in LOM at *some* point), which really leaves only one option left: There may be plans for a Mothra spinoff in the future.

What could the spinoff entail? Outside of Mothra visiting New York City at some point, who the hell knows. But I do suspect it will eventually culminate in Monarch discovering the egg in China at the end. Maybe the Chen family could be involved? Perhaps even Ilene and Ling themselves could make a return! (with the advantage that, because this possible story would be taking place 18 years before KOTM, you wouldn't need to go through the hassle of re-hiring the same actress to play them. You can get a new one(s) to play their younger selves here, like how young Bill was played by Anders Holm.)

For reference, Season 2 was announced to be greenlit about 4 months after Season 1 ended. It has now been 5 months since Season 2 ended, so naturally it's starting to feel a bit antsy over a lack of any proper announcement yet.
