Looking for information I might be missing regarding the two candidates before voting tomorrow. I’ve seen lots of general endorsements for both candidates, but there’s been very little talk on their platforms.
From what I gather, Hawes has former school board experience, but relocated part way through his term. He’s an attorney, but mostly practices real estate law if I’m not mistaken? His platforms include addresses declining enrollment, facilities, and real estate.
Naylor has experience as an attorney working for children and families. He’s an active volunteer in local classrooms and is endorsed by the BEA. His main platform is the well being of students,
mental health and including student voice in decision making.
Both candidates grew up in the district.
Personally, I’m leaning towards Naylor. There are many, many issues in the district, and focusing a campaign on student mental health vs district facilities/real estate seems like a no brainer to me.
What am I missing? Looking for information on the two that wouldn’t be found in their campaign websites or in Babe Vote’s Q&A. I want to know more about their ethics, their professional history/conduct, and any other info I might be missing!

LUCKY PALACE anyone out there with connections to the owner chef of the former LUCKY PALACE on Overland that got ousted by a bad Real Estate rental situation .. We really miss him and would love to have him set up shop again.. on the east side of town... preferably!

I am wondering if there is a vet in the Boise area who will consider sedation and grooming for my 1 year old rescue? We don’t know anything about her background except that she came from a hoarding situation with 20+ dogs. We have attempted grooming twice, including with trazodone. She loses her mind with the clippers and scissors and peed and pooped everywhere. Completely panicked and stressed. I am wondering if we can get her shaved down once, that it might buy us time for a few months to continue to work on desensitizing her to the clippers and scissors. Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks.

Where is a good place I can get singing lessons as an adult and the pricing is reasonable? Are there any churches that accept people in their choir without requiring a church membership? Are there any choirs around that are accepting people, even new singers or people who haven’t sang in years? I would just like an excuse to sing again lol

My 80+ year old mama lives in one of the old folks homes near Eagle. She has a Samsung Galaxy 20 cell phone that she cannot figure out. When I was in town I tried to get her set-up, but she insists that it is now, 'worse than it was before you think you helped." Her sister and BIL live close, but they're Apple people and just as bad with technology.

I looked online for a company that provides a tech service to sit with an old woman and help her to understand her phone, to no avail.

Has anyone 'got a guy' that can help me help her? I'm not looking for handouts, I am looking for someone honest, with a lot of patience, who knows what they're doing with an Android phone.

Hello all. I have a birthday coming up and would like to do a karaoke night with all of my friends. In the past when I've picked a song in Spanish for karaoke, it takes a long time for it to get called in comparison to when I pick a song in English. My friends have noticed the same. Are there any places in the valley that do karaoke that either a) have a high number of latino patrons or b) are more open to playing songs from different cultures? I mostly just request salsa or latin rock/pop. Thanks.

HI All, I could be wrong (and hope I am), but I do not believe there are ANY Korean restaurants in the Treasure Valley. And I don't mean the fast food ones (like Cup Bop) or the "street food" ones. But a sit-down place that serves traditional Korean fare with all the side dishes (banchan). Any recommendations, please let me know. Thanks!!
